April is over and it has been a pretty busy and exciting month for me. First of all I bought my first car in April. That’s something really exciting. I was also really busy with my internship and I celebrated easter with my family and boyfriend. That means that I didn’t have too much time for my blog and for trying out products. It made me stick to a routine that I knew worked for me. And this resulted in a couple of amazing rediscoveries. And obviously I did try something new this month, which I’m excited about to share which you as well! So without further ado, just keep on reading to find out what my April favourites are!
The first thing I fell in love with this month is the new Rituals The Ritual Of Chado Body Cream. It’s a very fancy looking collection and I’m just obsessed with the way everything looks and feels. The body cream in particular. The lid is made out of wood and it looks so fancy.
The scent of the body cream is typical Rituals. It’s one of those very amazing, but so special you can barely describe them, scents. It’s warm and it’s mysterious. It’s also super relaxing and softening. The main fragrance notes are bamboo and matcha. And this creates something very precious. I literally can’t wait till I get my paycheck and I can go ahead and get more of this collection. I’m really, really excited about it!
The consistency of the body cream is really amazing as well. I am very familiar with the body creams from Rituals, but this is something completely new. It’s super rich, creamy and almost bouncy. It’s so comfortable to the touch and it feels so good on the skin!
Moving on to a skincare favourite. This isn’t a surprise at all, but I have been head over heels in love with the Lush Amazon Primer Naked Facial Oil. It’s just heaven in a bar. It’s a hydrating and mattifying facial oil that prolongs the wearing time of your makeup. It smells super clean and fresh and it’s very lightweight on the skin. It’s a really unique product and definitely a step in my beauty routine I can’t miss out on anymore. I love this product a whole lot!
Another product I’ve been loving more than I ever have, is the Sarah Chapman Skinesis Eye Recovery. I’ve been using this since like November last year, but suddenly I fell in love with it more than I ever have. It’s such an amazing product. It’s a multifunctional eye cream and it’s perfect for my sensitive eye area. It’s softening and hydrating and it really helps to improve that area as a whole.
Another skincare rediscovery is an old favourite. It’s the La Roche Posay Duo Effaclar+ Moisturiser. I’ve been using this on and off ever since I was 13 (I’m now 21 for the record) and I have fallen in love with it all over again. It’s the perfect moisturiser for the spring and summer because it’s really lightweight and mattifying. It adds the right amount of moisture to the skin while keeping the oil production under control all day long!
In terms of makeup I’ve been a big fan of my Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette. I bought this a while ago and I liked it back then, but I’d forgotten about it after a while. But now that I have rediscovered it, I’m back at it again. This is such an amazing product. It’s very high-quality and the exact right shade for me. I really want to get the matching brush, but it’s so expensive!
Talking about expensive, I’m back in love with the Dior Nude Air Luminizer again. It’s always been a big favourite of mine, but now it is more than ever before. It’s just the best and most perfect highlighter in the whole wide world. It has the right amount of shimmer, the shimmer is fine and the colour is also pretty much perfect for every person ever. I wear this more than you can imagine!
Lastly I’ve been loving my Chanel Les 4 Ombres Palette more than ever now. It’s definitely a very natural and light palette, a lot less smokey than I usually go for, but I’ve been loving it. Now that the weather starts to get better I’m totally in the mood for lightweight makeup and this palettes works perfectly for that!
All in all there are still a lot of products I’ve fallen in love with, even though I’ve had such a busy month. Thank you guys so much for reading about it and be sure to let me know what your April Favourites are!
Heel erg benieuwd naar The Ritual of Chadō! Ik kan me namelijk niets bij die geur voorstellen. Mijn portefeuille probeert me nu wel alvast te vertellen dat ik beter niet ga ruiken, haha.
