Chanel is definitely one of my favourite brands when it comes to beauty. Back in the day I used to think that Chanel was way too overpriced and that it wasn’t worth it, but ever since I first gave one of their products a try I know better. I don’t have a huge Chanel stash so it’s not really worth doing a brand focus on, but I did think it might be fun to show you guys my current Chanel collection and let you guys know what’s still on my wishlist. So, if you’re interested in reading about all that, make sure you continue reading this post!
What I Own – Chanel Skincare
Okay let’s start off with the skincare part of my collection. At this very moment I own three full-size skincare products from Chanel. The first product I bought was the Chanel Gel Pureté, which is a foaming cleanser for the face. It comes in this stunning looking white bottle with a pump and it works amazing for me. It’s great at removing makeup and it makes my skin feel nice and clean. I think it’s a great product.
Soon after purchasing that, I bought the Chanel La Mousse, which is a very popular Chanel skincare product if I may believe the sales lady at Ici Paris. It’s a foaming mousse that you can use to, again, cleanse the skin and remove all makeup. It’s a bit more thick and creamy than the Gel Pureté is, but I don’t hate that about it.
The last Chanel skincare product I own at this moment is the Chanel Gommage Microperlé Éclat, which is a scrubbing gel for the face. I use this once a week to make sure my skin is nice and even and to remove dead skincells. It’s nice and gentle and I like that about it. It doesn’t strip my skin and it doesn’t feel uncomfortable. I think it’s a great product.
The only downside to Chanel skincare is that it’s full of perfume. I read that this is because it’s important in the French culture that things smell good, especially beauty products. And since Chanel is a French brand their products are all heavily scented. Because of this story behind it I actually think it’s pretty cute. But if you’re very sensitive to perfume in your skincare, stay away from this!
What I Want – Chanel Skincare
One thing that’s on top of my Chanel wishlist when it comes to skincare is their L’Huile Cleansing Oil (€38). I really like oils for removing makeup because I think it’s a very gentle yet effective way to do so, and this one looks just amazing. I really like the packaging it comes in, I think that’s very convenient. In addition to that I also think that it would work great for me, which is why it’s on my wishlist!
Another product that is high up my wishlist is their CC Cream (€62). Because of the hefty pricetag I haven’t gotten it yet, but it sounds so good. I think it’s a really handy product to use in the morning on days where you just don’t have the time or don’t feel like spending much time on your makeup. It’s easy to use and it has a lot of benefits to it. I think this looks incredible!
What I Own – Chanel Makeup
Okay, moving on to makeup. Let’s start off with lipstick, since that’s the first thing I ever got from Chanel. My first Chanel lipstick was the Rouge Allure Lipstick in Mélodieuse. This was a bright coral coloured lipstick with quite a bit of pigmentation. It’s a bit too bright for me so I don’t wear it that often. After that I only bought shades from the Rouge Coco Shine range in the shades Boy, Dialogue and Bonheur. Boy is definitely my favourite out of the three, but the other ones are great as well.
I also have two mascara’s from Chanel. The Dimensions De Chanel, which is my absolute favourite mascara of all time. It’s the most volumising, separating and over all amazing mascara I’ve ever tried. I also have the Le Volume De Chanel, which is great too. Both are really worth the money!
Next up I have two nail polishes from Chanel in the shades Rose Confidentiel and Rose Prodigious. Both are really nice and my two go-to nail polishes. I also have the Chanel Les Beiges Poudre Belle Mine Ensoleillée and the limited edition Chanel Le Signe Du Lion Highlighter. Aside from the mascara’s I think these are my favourite products from Chanel ever. They get their powders so right!
In addition to that I also have a couple of Chanel foundations. I have the Perfection Lumiere, the Vitalumiere Aqua, the Les Beiges Healthy Glow and the Perfection Lumiere Velvet. All four foundations are really amazing if you ask me, all for different purposes. At this moment I’d say that the Perfection Lumiere Velvet and the Les Beiges Healthy Glow are my favourites.
What I Want – Chanel Makeup
On my Chanel makeup wishlist are quite a few product. First of all I really want to try their Le Correcteur De Chanel (€35) Concealer. It seems like a really nice formula. I also would love to give one of their Joues Contraste Blushes (€44) a try. The shades they have seem so stunning and I really think that the formula is amazing as well. I have never tried one before, but I just feel that way. Another face product from Chanel that I’d love to give a try sometime soon is their Le Blanc De Chanel (€43). It seems like a great primer.
As for eyes I’d love to try the Chanel Stylo Sourcils Waterproof (€39), which is their take on a brow pencil. It has the slanted tip which I like so why not give it a try? Well I know why I haven’t yet, I think it’s crazy expensive! Because I love their mascara’s so much I also really want to try the Le Volume Révolution De Chanel (€36). This is a 3D printed mascara and that does sound pretty dang cool. The last eye product I really want to give a try from Chanel is one of their Les 4 Ombres (€54) eyeshadow palettes. I’d most likely opt for one with rather wearable shades, but I don’t have a preference in which one I want as for now.
And that’s it for my Chanel collection & wishlist. I do also have the Chanel Gabrielle Eau De Perfume, which I love very dearly, but I have no other Chanel perfume or things like that on my wishlist.
Anyway, thank you guys so much for reading today’s post and be sure to let me know what you think of my Chanel wishlist and collection and be sure to let me know your recommendations if you have any!
Zoveel moois! Ik ben dol op de make-up van Chanel, geeft toch net dat ietsje meer wanneer je het opdoet!
