Spring is here and that means it’s time for a lighter makeup routine and brighter colours. The plums can go back in the drawers for half a year and the corals are making their comebacks. Because I’m a way bigger fan of autumn and winter I though it might be fun to do a little throwback for you guys and show you which products I used the most during that amazing part of the year. So, if you’re interested in finding out which products rocked my autumn and winter, make sure you continue reading!
Let’s start off with the MAC Mariah Carey collection. This launched around the holidays and from the moment I saw it I knew I needed to have it. I put the launch date in my agenda, set a reminder and in the end I managed to get my hands on three of the products from the collection. One of the products I have from this collection I actually got from my boyfriend. He gifted me the MAC x Mariah Carey Mcizzle lipstick which I wore all the time back then.
I, myself, bought the two eyeshadow quads from this collection which are called I’m That Chick You Like and It’s Everything. I used them literally everyday during the winter time and I still use them a ton. These are two of the prettiest palettes I own! I really like them.
About two months before the MAC Mariah Carey collection launched I bought one of my first luxury foundations, the Chanel Perfection Lumiere foundation. I was obsessed with it. It matched my skintone really well, it felt really great on the skin, the coverage looked amazing and it smells really good. I wore it every day since I bought it for about 2 months straight. After that I discovered Dior foundations which I used a ton after that.
I still really like the Chanel foundation but because of the foundation-craze that has been going on in my life I have forgot about it a little bit. Lately I’ve started to use it more and more again and I have to say, whenever I wear it I fell back in love with it again. It’s just the best!
Another thing I was obsessed with during the winter time is the YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in Beige Blouse and I’m still obsessed with it. This lipstick just changed my makeup-life. It ended my search for the ultimate nude lipstick. This is the creamiest, richest and prettiest lipstick in the world and I love, love, love the way it looks on the lips!
I also really loved wearing my beloved Chloe Fleur de Parfum perfume during that time of the year. Since Chloe is my signature scent I still wear this a ton at the moment, but back then I just got this Fleur de Parfum version so that’ why I’m mentioning it.
During the autumn and winter months I was obsessed with this Bare Minerals Moxie lipstick. Because I’m not someone who wears very bright lip colours on a daily basis I didn’t wear this every day of the past half year, but I have worn it more often than I’d normally do with a bright lip colour. I just thought that it looked very autumnal and it felt so nice on the lips. It’s definitely a great lipstick!
Around Christmas time I ordered my first ever Dior blush from their Splendor collection. Since it’s Dior I did expect it to be amazing, but it really ended up being better than I could’ve ever expected. It’s such a silky and soft blush and the colour is just stunning. I wore it for two months straight. After that I decided it was time for me to use some of my other blushes again too, but I still use this a lot!
The last two products I want to show you in today’s post are these two Rituals body creams. I have loved the Rituals body creams for ages, but these two really changed everything up for me. I have used both of them so much the last couple of months. These are just the absolute best.
Sadly both of them are limited edition, but maybe you’ll be able to score one in a sale or outlet or something like that. If you do see them anywhere (let me know), get your hands on them as fast as you can. These are the creamiest, richest and softest body creams ever and they really smell heavenly!
And that concludes today’s ‘throwback’ post. I hope you enjoyed reading it
and be sure to let me know which products you used a lot during autumn and winter!
