Now that Autumn is finally here I think it’s very important to switch up my skincare routine. Especially when it comes to wearing lip balm. During the summer I hardly ever wear lip balm because my lips tend to be pretty okay during those months. However, when the weather starts to get more chilly and the air gets dryer, my lips are chapped in a split second. Lately I’ve been using a lot of lip balm again which resulted in an idea to share some of my favourites with you in today’s post! So, if you are struggling with dry, chapped lips as well and are looking for a new favourite lip balm, make sure you continue reading this post!
My first favourite is the Rosebud Salve Minted Rose. I first bought one of these a long time ago when these Rosebud Salve lip balms were new in the Netherlands. I just loved the look of the packaging and I was a big fan of the fact that the packaging was this large. There are a lot of different scents available but my favourite is by far this Minted Rose one. It has a really nice smell and because of the mint in it, it does have a tingling sensation on the lips. I also feel like it lasts a long time on the lips and I think that it does a great job at nourishing them.
My next favourite is a very basic one. It’s one of the Labello Shine Lip Balms. I have them in a couple of different scents. My current favourite is the Cherry Shine one because it is red and therefore it leaves your lips with a really pretty settle red tone to them, which I think is very pretty. Even though this is a very affordable and basic lip balm that everybody has, I think it’s amazing. There’s a reason why it’s such a popular product. And that’s because it actually does make your lips feel really nourished and at the same time it adds a really pretty tint to them with a nice glow. I love the way this makes my lips look.
Next up are four of the same ones in all different scents. These are the lip balms from the Christmas collection from The Body Shop. So far they have had these tins of lip balm every year so I’m sure they will be in stores again soon and honestly, these are the best. You just have to try one. There’s a lot of product in the tin, thanks to which these lip balms do last you for a very long time.
The texture of them is a little different compared to the two lip balms I just talked about but I do like it. These are a bit more thick and sticky but at the same time they do feel like they’re richer. I feel like they sit on your lips forever which is really amazing because that means that it moisturises your lips for a very long time. I once applied one of them before I went to sleep and when I woke up the next day, it was still on my lips.
I feel like these are just some sort of really amazing kind of lip treatment. Whenever I’ve put one on my lips are good to go for a couple of days. Of course it’s better to keep moisturising them, but sometimes it’s very nice to not have to worry about that for a while.
My last favourite lip balm is the Dior Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm in Berry. I bought this because my best friend recommend it to me and I’m really glad I did so. At first I didn’t really think that it would be all that moisturising because it feels like there’s hardly any product on your lips. However, after letting it fade off my lips throughout the day I realised that my lips felt like new. They were all smooth and soft again and at the same time they have been tinted in a really nice berry colour all day long. I actually wear this one as a lipstick a lot too!
With that being said I think I covered all of my favourite lip balms. I hope you enjoyed reading about my favourite lip balms and be sure to let me know which lip balms you’d recommend trying!
