Back in Warsaw I bought my first three Tom Ford lipsticks. I have been meaning to try them for so long and then I finally decided to let myself do it. I ended up buying two lipsticks from the Lips & Boys collection and one from the Moisturecore range. So far I’ve reviewed two of them and the only one that is left for me to review is the one I was most excited about. The Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lipstick in the shade Collin. I’ve had it for a couple of months now. Throughout those months I’ve been trying it in different settings so I think I have a pretty good view on it now. Anyway, if you’re interested in reading about this lipstick and finding out whether or not it’s worth the money, make sure you continue reading!
The Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lipstick comes in a very classic and luxurious looking packaging. The outside is black and gold and that combination, to me, looks very prestigious. On top of the cap it says TF, which are Tom Fords initials. It also says that on top of the lipstick. I think that’s not something that’s very unique in the beauty industry, but still I do really like the look of it. It does add a luxury vibe to the product and I’m all about that. Overall I think that the packaging looks really good. It also feels pretty hefty for what it is, which I really like about it as well.
The size of the lipstick is a bit smaller than I initially expected. That’s the thing with all of the lipsticks from this range. The positive thing about that is that you do pay less for a lipstick than you do when you buy the full size lipsticks from the normal collection. You do get slightly less product, but all in all I do think it’s okay. I’m someone who uses a different lipstick literally everyday and I never use one up, so for me this is not a big deal. It’s also much more convenient when you’re going somewhere with a really tiny bag. This lipstick doesn’t take in any space at all.
Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lipstick in Collin – €35
I decided to go with the shade Collin because this was one of the most perfect nude colours I saw within the range. It had the right amount of pink, brown and purple to it in order to look good on my lips. Tom Ford describes Collin as the perfect balance of warm and cool tones. They say that it’s flattering on any complexion. I agree with that saying. I think that it’s a very versatile and universally flattering colour. It’s a bit warmer than your regular nude colour, but that’s what makes it so pretty. All in all I think it’s a really amazing everyday better-than-nude colour.
In terms of quality Tom Ford says that these lipsticks are each formulated to deliver pure colour without compromising on luminosity. I really like the way that sounds. I’m personally a big fan of more luminous lip colours rather than mattes, so this one seems to be a great fit for me. I do usually prefer more sheer kind of lipsticks, but I don’t hate a good full coverage lip every now and then either.
All in all the claims Tom Ford has made regarding this lipstick make it sound pretty good. They don’t claim a lot, but the things they do claim sound just really nice. And generally speaking I do think it lives up to its claims. To be a 100% real with you guys, I think it’s even better than they claim. I’m really blown away by this product.
The reason why I like this lipstick so much is mainly because of the texture. The texture really gives away how luxurious this lipstick actually is. It has a very rich and creamy but also a very smooth texture. It just glides over the lips so effortlessly. I love the way that feels. It covers fully within one swipe of lipstick and the finish is gorgeous. I do love me a good creamy finish and that’s exactly what this lipstick has. A nice creamy shine to it. It makes it look very natural and it adds a healthy look to the complexion. I also feel like the lipstick has a bit of a hydrating effect on my lips. Therefore my lips look super smooth when I’m wearing it, even if I do have chapped winter lips. How nice is that?!
The shade looks pretty much perfect as well in my opinion. As you can tell it looks very natural on me, but it’s a bit more interesting than a normal nude colour. It’s a very simple colour, yet it’s very unique. It’s really hard to describe but all in all I just really like the way this shade looks on my lips.
In terms of staying power I’m really impressed by this Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lipstick. I did expect it to be good, but this. My lord! This lipstick stays in place for hours. I think that it stays in place for over 4 hours, even with drinking, eating and all that kind of stuff. To me that is really, really impressive.
In conclusion I’m a big fan of the Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lipstick in the shade Collin. Obviously I did expect it to be amazing considering the high price tag, but I did not expect this. The lipstick is just so luxurious. The texture is extremely rich and creamy and the colour is so super flattering on literally anyone. I’m also really impressed by how well it holds up throughout the day. It really is a lipstick that is worth its hefty price tag. So if you are looking for a really amazing high end lippie, make sure you check out the Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lipsticks!
That’s pretty much it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and be sure to let me know what you think of this super luxurious looking Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lipstick in Collin!
