Since the holiday season is around the corner, brands are starting to launch their holiday collections. One brand that has already successfully done so is Rituals. Their holiday range is called The Ritual Of Yalda. So far I’m always a big fan of the scent of Ritual products so I decided I wanted to give this product a try as well. I ordered it and I’ve been using it ever since. Today it’s the day I’m finally going to review it. So if you want to read all about this brand new, stunning looking Ritual Of Yalda Body Cream, make sure you continue reading this post!
The Ritual Of Yalda Body Cream comes in a stunning packaging, like we’re used to from Rituals. The packaging is navy with pinkish details and I really like that combination. Somehow it feels very mysterious and Christmassy to me. It has something. Something that intrigues me in a way. I do think that the packaging is rather bulky looking at the amount of product that comes inside. But well, that’s with pretty much all of the Rituals body cream packagings so I don’t necessarily hate it. If you do have very little room to store these things it might become a problem. But in any other scenario it’s pretty much okay to me.
Something I did notice about this product is that it’s one Euro more expensive than other body creams from Rituals. To me that’s not a very big deal that Euro, but I just didn’t understand why they would only up the price of one of their body creams. Considering all of the other ones are still their regular price of €17,50. After doing a little investigation I found out why. This body cream actually comes with 220 ml instead of the regular 200 ml you get. It’s a bit more and you’re paying for that. To me that’s fine, but it’s odd that they did that.

Looking at the consistency of the body cream I think it’s very similar to most of their products. I have experienced that some of their body creams are a bit more balmy, but most of them are just like this one. They have a really nice and soft, creamy texture. It feels very rich and smooth on the skin and it almost seems like it melts into the skin. It’s a very comfortable feeling product and therefore I do think that this is a very appropriate product when you’re in the mood to pamper yourself. It’s not just the scent that helps with that, the texture has a say in that as well.
Talking about the scent, let’s discuss that. The Ritual Of Yalda is a holiday limited edition so you would expect it to smell kinda festive. On the bottle it says that it smells like pomegranate and watermelon. Those two ingredients don’t seem very wintery or festive to me. However, I don’t know how they did it, but to me it is a very festive scent. It’s not a traditional one, not at all, but it’s festive. Somehow the combination of these two ingredients create a very rich and luxurious smelling scent. The first time I sniffed this range that’s exactly how I described it. Luxurious. It smells like a 50 dollar body lotion.
The pomegranate adds a nutty scent to the whole, while the watermelon makes it smell fresh. This combination makes this the perfect wintery pick-me-up scent. It’s fresh and awakening, yet warm and cozy. As you can tell I’m terrible at describing scents, but I hope this makes some sort of sense.
Obviously a body creme doesn’t just have to smell nice and feel nice. It should also moisturise the skin. Especially since this is aimed at the winter-season, I do think that it should be very moisturising. And I actually think it is. This body creme isn’t heavy in texture but it does leave a nice moisturising layer on your skin. I know saying that is going to scare people off since no one really likes a greasy layer on their skin. However, this isn’t like that. It’s almost as if it just leaves a barrier on your skin that keeps the moisture in and makes you feel soft and smooth. It’s not greasy or anything like that, it’s softening. And it stays that way for a good couple of hours.
In terms of the lifetime of the scent I’m pretty positive but not overwhelmed. When you just apply it the scent is pretty obvious, but not too much. It’s not like it stings my nose or whatever. The hours following that moment are still nice-smelling hours. However, I always take my showers -and therefore use this body creme- before I go to bed, so when I wake up the scent is gone. That says that it is a strong scent, but it doesn’t linger for hours and hours to come. If you smell yourself really closely you might still smell it, but it’s not that in your face anymore. I don’t hate that, but it’s something worth mentioning.
All in all I am really happy that I bought this Rituals The Ritual Of Yalda Body Cream. I’m a big fan of the body creams from Rituals. Especially their winter limited editions are always a hit for me. This year wasn’t an exception to that rule. The body cream has an amazing texture, it moisturises the skin really well and it has a very luxurious scent going on. In addition to that the packaging looks absolutely stunning as well. Over all I’m a big fan and if you like the Rituals body creams you should definitely try this one!
That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post, and be sure to let me know what you think of this new Ritual Of Yalda Limited Edition from Rituals!
Rituals is brand I should pay more attention to! I love to visit the store but I tend to never pick something there.
This moisturiser looks like a delight!
Wishing you all the best,
Randomlydi
