The Last Favourites Of The Year: My December Favourites

27/12/2018

You guys, it’s almost January which means that December is over and the new year is almost starting. I feel like December is the month that goes by the quickest and that’s such a shame. It’s actually one of my favourite months of the year because of the festivities. Another reason why December is amazing is because it comes with tons of holiday collections in the beauty world. This month I’ve been trying a lot of new items and in today’s post I’m going to show you guys which ones ended up becoming favourites on fine. So make sure you continue reading if you want to find out which products have stolen my heart!

My first favourite is a haircare favourite. It’s the Living Proof Style Lab Blowout Styling & Finishing Spray. I bought this on Black Friday not knowing what to expect. But you guys, this spray is just as amazing as they claim it to be. It’s too good to be true, but true. It does everything I ever looked for in a haircare product. It makes my hair super soft and flexible, it doesn’t weigh it down or make it look greasy and in addition to all of that it has amazing benefits on my blowdrying routine. It cuts down the time my hair needs to dry and it makes sure that my hair is easier to shape and style and that this shape and style lasts longer. I’m so super impressed by this spray, you just have to try it!

Another hair favourite is the Tangle Teezer The Ultimate that I got along with the Living Proof spray on Black Friday. I’ve always been a bit skeptical about Tangle Teezers, but I think that’s just because I hadn’t tried one until now. Because it’s ‘The Ultimate’ it does look a little different from the regular Tangle Teezers but that’s what I like about it. It does have a sort of handle like a normal brush so this is much more easy to work with. I feel like it’s very gentle on my hair and that it gets the job done without it being a big burden on me. I like it a ton!

Moving on to some Beautyblender goodies. My first Beautyblender favourite is the Beautyblender Micro Mini Bubble. I never believed these Micro Mini sponges were all that interesting but dang, I was wrong. I really love it a lot and I honestly wouldn’t do my makeup without it anymore. It makes the concealer underneath my eyes more pigmented and it blends the foundation around my nose so much better. No more gunky foundation in the nooks and crannies of my face.

The next Beautyblender favourite is their Solid Cleanser. I used to use one from a knock-off brand and that was okay, but now that I have this original one I know what I missed out on. This one is sooooo much more effective. It smells a lot better, it doesn’t leave my Beautyblender feeling yucky and it just gets everything out within minutes. I’m so blown-away by how well this works. I definitely didn’t see that one coming!

The last Beautyblender favourite is the Keep.It.Clean. This is a little tool that can help with washing your Beautyblender. It might look a little gimmicky, but it does make it so much easier to clean your Beautyblender. Because of the little thingies on it, it really gets the dirt out. I feel like my Beautyblenders have never been this clean!

Then it’s time for makeup favourites. My first makeup favourite of December is the Nars x Erdem Eyeshadow Palette. I have to say that I  hadn’t heard a lot about this palette before I bought it, but somehow it intrigued me. And I’m so glad it did. I don’t know why it isn’t super popular because the quality of this palette is just incredible. The shadows are so super rich and smooth and the pigmentation is out of this world. This is by far the highest quality palette I currently own and I’m so shook by it. I think everyone needs this in their life!

I’m also really loving the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette. I have to admit that the ‘glow’ part of this palette doesn’t bother me too much, I don’t think it’s that great, but the bronze part is just the best. It’s such a gorgeous bronzing shade. It’s light enough for my skin and it leaves behind a really pretty natural looking bronze look, or even contour. The powder is very soft and easy to work with. It’s a very fool-proof product. I do wish they’d sell it separately from the highlighter though because that is a bit powdery and not that effective, but well. It is what it is.

Next up is the YSL Fusion Ink Cushion Foundation. I never thought I would get into cushion foundations but I did. This is the prettiest and most natural looking foundation I own. You literally don’t feel it on your skin and it makes you look so nice and healthy. The coverage isn’t very high, but I like that about it as well. It’s just a natural looking product that evens out your skintone without doing too much. It’s super quick and easy to work with and even the sponge that comes with it works great for me. The only downside to the sponge is that I can’t get it clean anymore, the foundation has stained it forever.

Moving on to my last makeup favourite already. This is the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder Translucent. First of all I love the size of the tub, you get so much product! I also really like the powder itself. It’s very finely milled and it’s super soft. It doesn’t look powdery on the face at all. It just sets the makeup really nice and it keeps my skin matte all day long. I’m really picky with my powders so I definitely didn’t expect to love it this much, but it is really worth the hype!

The last two favourites are both from Nivea. The first one is the Nivea Silk Mousse in Vanilla Caramel. I didn’t really expect to like it too much since I’m not a big fan of shower foams, but it is amazing. It’s a super soft and silky formula that feels incredible on the skin and is pretty hydrating. In addition to that it also has the most amazing smell in the whole wide world. Nivea did really well on this one, I love it lots!

The last favourite I want to share with you is the Nivea Fresh Revive Dry Shampoo for Brunettes. I bought this because the store I was at didn’t have Batiste. I was a bit unsure about it at first because I don’t have great experiences with dry shampoos other than the ones from Batiste, but this one did surprise me in a very positive way. It actually works really well for me and I don’t even hate the scent at all. It keeps my hair feeling and smelling fresh all day long, so I don’t have to wash it on a daily basis!

With that being said I think I covered all of my favourites of the last month of 2018. I hope you enjoyed reading about them, and make sure you let me know which products you have been loving!
