While most people go crazy about the shiniest highlighter and the best contour product, my focus in makeup has always been with eyeshadow. Cheek products were just a part of my routine, but not something I was too crazy about. Now I can’t say that my focus has completely shifted, but I do start to care more and more about what’s on my cheeks. And therefore I decided that it might be fun to share some of my favourite cheek products with you guys. So if you’re interested in reading about that, make sure you continue reading this post!
The first product I’m going to share with you guys today is actually a big rediscovery. It’s the MAC Mineralized Blush in Dainty. It’s one of the first high-end blushes I ever bought and somehow I fell out of love with it a million times in the past. Recently I used it again because it was right next to me and I didn’t feel like standing up and getting another one and this actually resulted in my falling in love with it all over again. I mean it’s so darn pretty. It’s really fresh and it makes your complexion look so healthy. It’s stunning!
Another blush I just absolutely adore is my Yves Saint Laurent Blush Volupte in Passionate. I’ve been wanting to try an YSL blush for so long and when I finally did I definitely wasn’t disappointed. The formula on this blush is so incredibly smooth and silky, it’s like luxury in a pan. The colour looks absolutely amazing as well and all in all this is just the best in the bizz. For sure!
The third blush I just can’t live without is probably the most special to me. I got it from my boyfriend when we went to London together, our first vacation together. It’s the Hourglass Ambient Lightning Blush in Mood Exposure. The Hourglass blushes are just the most amazing ones. The shades are incredibly stunning and the formula is so unique. This colour fits me really well, it looks super natural on me yet absolutely stunning.
As for bronzing and contouring I absolutely love my Chanel Les Beiges Poudre Belle Mine Ensoleillé. I bought this back in 2017 and I still use it as much as I possibly can. I just think that the formula on this product is just incredible. It’s really soft, easy to blend and natural looking. I also think that they got the colour just right. It’s not too orangy, but it’s also not too grey looking. And the brush that comes with it is actually really nice as well, so all in all this is just absolutely amazing!
A product that took me a while to really fall in love with is the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette. Not because I didn’t like it at first, but just because I didn’t use it that much. Now that I do use this on a regular basis I have really discovered how much I actually like this product. I think that the bronzer in this palette is a perfect match for me in terms of how light it is and I also, again, really like the formula on this product.
Obviously my Dior Mineral Nude Bronzer Wild Earth Collection can’t miss in this post. It’s a bronzer I bought just a couple of months ago and I think it’s amazing. It’s from this years’ limited edition collection and it looks absolutely stunning. The shade is a bit warmer and darker compared to the other two bronzers I’ve mentioned, but I do like that when it’s really hot outside. It makes me look nicely tanned.
Another sculpting product we just can’t forget in this list is the amazing Fenty Beauty Match Stix Skinsticks. This product was all the rage when it just launched and I do feel like people have forgotten about it a little. But you guys, this is just incredible. I don’t always like cream cheek products, but this is just incredible. The formula is super easy to blend, nice and thin and the shade matches me so flippin’ well. If I really feel like doing an actual contour, this is the only product I’ll ever need. It does the job perfectly!
When it comes to highlighter I like a natural but visible glow on the tops of my cheek bones. To get to that effect I do still love using my amazing Dior Nude Air Luminizer in 001. It’s my first and only Dior highlighter and I think it’s just made for me. This is the exact shade I always look for in a highlighter. The glow is nice and vibrant, but it’s not too overpowering. I just think this is absolutely stunning and I wish more brands would make highlighters like this.
Another highlighter that I love an awful lot is the Nars Man Ray Over Exposed Highlighter in Double Take. It’s similar to the Dior highlighter in terms of shade but it creates a really unique effect. Rather than just being a highlighter, it has some sort of wetlook effect to it. It’s really hard to describe or to capture on camera. But the thing is: it’s not just a stripe of colour with glitter in it. It’s like you’re coating your cheek with a healthy glow. This makes it look more natural, but it doesn’t take away any intensity.
A highlighter that can’t miss from a post like this one is obviously the MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle. It’s a highlighter I have a love-hate relationship with. I forget about it a lot, but whenever I rediscover it I fall back in love with it all over again. You just simply can’t beat how pretty this highlighter looks on the cheeks. And I feel like it’s such a versatile colour that looks just stunning on literally everyone.
And that does sum up my cheek-favourite post. I think I’ve mentioned some great products. I’ve tried a lot of makeup in my day and to me these are really the best of the best. I love the classics and these are them. For sure.
Thank you so much for reading today’s post and be sure to let me know which cheek products you swear by or what your favourite cheek-makeup brands are. I’d love to know!
