I’ve been using eyelash curlers since the day I started doing makeup. I started using it because my big sister did and I thought it was just the way those things had to be done. I’ve mainly used super cheap drugstore ones but now I felt like it was time to up my curler games and buy one from The Body Shop. It’s still not very high end or anything like that, but I feel like it’s a bit better than my Forever21 one. If you’re interested in finding out how I ended up liking my new eyelash curler, make sure you continue reading!
The look of the The Body Shop Eyelash Curler is pretty basic. It doesn’t look very special and it doesn’t have much to it. It’s just your average silver metal eyelash curler. Even though it’s not that different from the drugstore eyelash curlers I’ve used in the past when it comes to the look of it, I do like the way it looks. It’s simple, it’s basic and it doesn’t have anything to it that doesn’t need to be there.
The curler comes with two little black cushions. One is already in it and the other one comes in a small bag so you can keep it and put it in once this one is completely destroyed.
Shape wise this eyelash curler didn’t look very different from the ones I’ve used before, but once I started using it, I found out it was actually quite different. My old eyelash curler felt very sharp and I always pinched my eyelids which was very painful, ruined my eyeshadow looks and just wasn’t good for my eyes in general. It also felt very tight.
This one is the complete opposite of that. It actually feels very soft and gentle on the eyes. At first I thought it just didn’t do something because I hardly felt it, but the difference was definitely noticeable. I have never pinched my lids with this yet and it’s way less tight and therefore way less scary to use.
On the back of the curler you can see it has a little spring attached to it. I don’t really know what the purpose of that is, but I felt like I should let you guys know that it’s there. I’m not sure if it’s normal for eyelash curlers to have that, but my old curlers don’t have it so I assumed it was something special.
I really wanted to include a picture with the before and after but it was just impossible to make. You could barely see the difference on camera and if I’d show that to you, you would think it’s a crappy curler that doesn’t do anything while it definitely does.
So overall I think this is a great eyelash curler. It’s the first one that doesn’t hurt my eyes at all which I think is a enormous plus and it’s easy to work with. I like how simple the design is and I like that it’s way more gentle for my lashes and I’m really glad I bought it. It’s the best eyelash curler I’ve ever used and therefore I highly recommend giving it a try!
The TBS Eyelash Curler is available in stores and online for €5,-.
That was it for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know which eyelash curler you’d recommend to me!
XOXO, Nicole.
Ik vind die dingen altijd zo eng, maar het resultaat mag er wel zijn! Toch klinkt deze wel “foolproof” dus binnenkort maar eens naar kijken dan 🙂
