One thing I really appreciate about Lush is that they are always very generous with their samples. Whenever I order something I always get about five product samples and also in store they do not hold back. Since I’ve been buying a lot from Lush throughout the past couple of months, I’ve accumulated quite a big collection of samples. Even though samples aren’t huge, I still think they can give you a pretty clear view on what a product is like and whether or not it will work for you. Therefore it seemed like a good idea to me to share my opinion on some of the samples that I got with you guys. So if you’re interested in reading about that, make sure you continue reading this post!
The first three samples I got are all three samples of face masks. I always love to get samples of face masks, because you can enjoy the mask without having to commit to buying it. The first face mask sample I have ever tried was the Mask Of Magnaminty. This is quite a popular product from Lush and I totally get why now. I actually got several samples of this so I’ve used it quite some times by now. What I like about this mask is that it’s rather refreshing, it makes my skin feel really soft and smooth and it’s not too harsh. It’s a really nice mask that I’d definitely want to buy full-size sometime soon.
The next mask I tried is Cup O’ Coffee. At first I thought I’d really like this because I do love the smell of coffee, but I was dead wrong. I absolutely hated the scent of Cup O’ Coffee. It made me feel sick even. I don’t know what it is about it. I mean, it does smell like coffee, but it just upsets my stomach. In terms of effects I do like the mask itself, it’s nice and cleansing. However, I’m not sure I’d ever buy a full-size jar of it just because of the scent.
The last mask I got a sample of is Rosy Cheeks Fresh Face Mask. I ended up buying the full size of it so I don’t think it’s much of a surprise that I really like this mask. It’s a very softening mask that’s gentle on the skin but also makes your skin look nice and even. Oh, and the scent is absolutely incredible. I love roses.
Moving on to body conditioner. The first one I got is the Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner. This is from the same scent family as Rose Jam and I absolutely adore the scent of that. Therefore Ro’s Argan is a huge favourite of mine as well. I haven’t bought the full size yet because I just have way too many products I need to finish up first. But when I get the chance, I’ll definitely buy a big jar of this good old stuff. It smells incredible.
Another body conditioner I’m very impressed with is the Buck’s Fizz Body Conditioner. This sample I actually got from Evelien and I’m really thankful for that because I’m head over heels with this scent. This scent is actually limited edition to the Christmas collection so fingers crossed that this scent will return this year!
Aside from body conditioner, I also got a sample of a body lotion. The Sympathy For The Skin Body Lotion. The only thing I can say about this is that this scent is not up my alley at all. I don’t like it one bit and I’m sure I’ll never use up this sample.
Then we have a couple of shower gel samples. First off is the Lord Of Misrule Shower Cream. I actually got this multiple times and I’m glad I do. Even though I wasn’t in love with the Lord Of Misrule Bath Bomb at first, I did grow to love the scent of it. So this shower gel, or actually cream, is definitely welcome in my collection. Because it’s a cream it has a somewhat thicker formula which is interesting and works fine for me.
Another shower gel sample I got is the Plum Rain Shower Gel. I asked for this sample because I saw this shower gel all over the place and I was curious to see what it smells like. I have to say that I definitely think it’s a nice smelling shower gel, but it’s not my favourite in the whole wide world. I’m glad I can use up my sample of it, but I’m not sure if I’d buy the full-size version in the near future.
The last shower gel sample I got is a sample of my beloved Rose Jam Shower Gel. I also got multiple samples of this and I’m really happy about that. Like I mentioned I love the Rose Jam scent and I really, really want to get the full-size of this very soon. I just didn’t do it yet because I have way too many shower gels I need to use up first.
Lastly I have three miscellaneous samples. The first one is a sample of the Dark Angles Face Cleanser. This is a pitch black product that is used to cleanse the skin. I used it once while in the tub and it totally ruined my bath art. In terms of effects I didn’t hate it, but I’m not sure if it’s for me. It kinda got stuck to my face and was a pain in the ass to get completely removed from my skin. I don’t feel like putting in that effort on a daily basis while you don’t have to with other products.
Another sample I got is the Magic Crystals Shower Scrub. This is a really pretty purple coloured shower scrub that has a very minty scent. I don’t use shower scrubs that often so I don’t think I’d buy it full-size, but I like having it so I can scrub my body if I ever feel the need to. The scent is great and I can imagine it being really nice during the summer time.
The last sample I got is the Creme De Menthe Mouthwash Tabs. I got five of them in here and they smell really good. I already tried the Golden Pear Mouthwash Tabs but they aren’t as minty as I sometimes do need. The Creme De Menthe ones are. They really add that breath of fresh air to your mouth and I like that a lot.
All in all I do really like these Lush samples that I got. There are some things in there that just aren’t up my alley, but that’s completely fine. You can’t like everything and I do think it’s great that you get to try things before you buy this way. So if you ever place an order or buy something at Lush, don’t be scared to ask for samples! They will always give them to you and it’s a great way to prevent buying things you’ll end up disliking.
Thank you guys so much for reading today’s post and be sure to let me know what Lush samples you’ve already tried or if you have any sample recommendations!
Wat is Lord of Misrule toch een geweldige geur! De Shower Cream is trouwens ook zo belachelijk zuinig in gebruik! We kochten eind 2017 een 500 ml-fles in de sale en er is volgens mij nog steeds maar een derde uit? Oké, we gebruiken nog een hele hoop andere doucheproducten, but still!
