It’s finally time for the fourth and last Tarte Blush review for a while now. Back in 2016 I reviewed the three other Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes that come in this great Christmas value set and today it’s time for the last one. This one is called Pop and it’s the brightest one out of the four. If you’re interested in finding out whether or not I like this one just as much as the other three, make sure you continue reading!
I feel like it’s a bit unnecessary to talk about the packaging once again since I have done that three times before, but since not all of you have read the other three reviews, I will briefly tell you what I think of the packaging. I like it. I like that the colour of the packaging represents the colour of the blush. I think the size is easy for on the go and I like the little sticker with the design on the lid that makes the packaging look a little more fun.
So, now that we did that, let’s move on to the actual review shall we?
The colour we’re looking at today is called Pop. Pop is one of the more interesting and daring shades out of the set, but it’s still very wearable and natural. It’s a rosy pink shade without any shimmer or shine to it whatsoever. It’s a shade that will look good on so many skin tones since it’s a colour that’s very similar to the natural colour of your cheeks when you just got inside after walking through the snow or whatever.
For me this is a colour that I’d take with me on vacation. That because it’s obviously not that big so it won’t take in too much space, but also because it looks good with everything. It’s a colour you can just throw on your face and don’t worry about. In general I don’t think that some blushes look horrible with some looks, but I do think that some blushes compliment some looks better than others. This blush is one that compliments pretty much every look, and that’s exactly why I’d take it with me.
Pigmentation wise this blush isn’t the strongest. However it does have enough pigment in it to show up on your face and give you that natural flush. Aside from that it’s also buildable so if you do really want a strong blush you can definitely apply a little more product and get it to the point you like/want it.
The texture of the blush is just as nice as the texture of the other three blushes. It’s soft, it’s smooth and it’s silky. This one is actually one of my favourites when it comes to application because it applies so evenly. One of the other blushes does have the slight tendency of looking a little uneven, but this one isn’t like that at all. It’s also not powdery and it just lays beautifully on the skin. I like it.
Overall I really like this blush, just like I like the other three I previously reviewed. This is by far one of my favourite colours just because it’s first of all a little more fun than the very neutral ones and because it’s so versatile. Aside from that I’m also a fan of the quality and the texture of the powder and overall I just think this is a great blush. If you’re on the hunt for some new blushes, you might want to check out this set now that it’s still available.
This Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush is part of their Holiday set which is available here for £34.50.
That was it for today’s review. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know if you have any experience with the Tarte blushes and if so, let me know how you like them!
XOXO, Nicole.
