Summery Shower Gel Cocktail

18/07/2016

Shower Gel Cocktail Balea Isana

Even though I’m still the biggest makeup addict ever, I do love me some shower gel. I just really enjoy using a different one every day of the week. Therefore I do buy quite a lot of shower gels whenever I go shopping. Especially when I go shopping in Germany. Today I’m going to be reviewing three shower gels I bought in the German drugstore. If you’re interested in finding out more about these shower gels, make sure you continue reading!

Shower Gel Cocktail Vitamin & Yoghurt Isana

Let’s start off with the one I bought at Rossmann, the Isana Vitamin & Yoghurt shower gel. This comes in a very basic packaging that shows what the shower gel smells like. It’s basic, it’s nothing too special and I have to say I’m not the biggest fan of it. I do like the shape of the bottle, but I just don’t think the design is very appealing.

Even though the packaging isn’t really appealing, there was something about this shower gel that made me curious enough to buy it. And that thing is the scent. I haven’t seen something like this before and whenever that’s the case, there is a very, very big chance I’m buying it.

Shower Gel Cocktail Isana Vitamin & Yoghurt

The Vitamin & Yoghurt shower gel has a really nice scent. It’s fruity but because of the yoghurt it’s not too sweet. The yoghurt really balances out the sweetness of the fruits which makes it the perfect everyday scent. It’s refreshing but in a whole different way than you’re used to.

The quality of the shower gel isn’t bad either. It feels soft on the skin and it’s not drying at all. The scent isn’t too strong so it won’t really linger after you get out of the shower. But considering this bottle costs less than 1 Euro, I’m not complaining.

The Isana Vitamin & Yoghurt Shower Gel is available at Rossmann for €0,55.

Shower Gel Cocktail Mango Balea

Onto the second shower gel, the Balea Mango shower gel. Those who know me very well know that I’m a huge fan of mango. Everything that tastes, smells or looks like mango is amazing to me and I can’t get enough of it. Just like the Isana shower gel it doesn’t have a very appealing packaging, but the fact that this smells like mango is already enough reason for me to buy it.

Even though I love everything that smells like mango, I do sometimes come across things that claim to smell like mango but really stink. So when I saw this I wasn’t sure if it was going to be a good mango scent of a stinky one, but luckily for me it turned out well.

Shower Gel Cocktail Balea Mango

The scent of this shower gel is really fruity, obviously, and has something sweet to it. It’s definitely not one of those way too sweet shower gels. Not at all. It has just the right amount of sweetness to it. I also like how it’s very fresh and refreshing. It’s a really nice shower gel to use in the morning to wake you up a little or on hot summer days to get rid of that sweaty feeling (and scent) and feel fresh again.

The quality of this shower gel is, just like any other Balea shower gel, really nice. It’s soft, it feels really nice on the skin and it leaves a really nice scent. I like it!

The Balea Mango Shower Gel is available at DM for €0,55.

Shower Gel Cocktail Rabarber Balea

Onto the last shower gel already. This is the Balea Shower & Oil Pearls (I hope I translated that correctly,  not completely sure) Shower Gel in the scent rhubarb and magnolia blossom. This comes in a bit of a different packaging than the usual Balea shower gel. It’s rounded and clear and it has a green lid. It’s also smaller than the regular one but it contains nearly the same amount of product as the regular ones do.

This packaging did look very appealing to me, but the main reason why I bought it is because my best friend showed it to me and said it smelled really good. And if she says that, I just have to buy it.

Shower Gel Cocktail Balea Rabarber

Scent wise this is one of my favourite shower gels out of the three. It’s kind of sweet, it’s florally, it’s fresh, it’s soft and it’s feminine. It’s a mixture of everything I like. I had never smelled rhubarb before, but now that I’ve smelled this I think I really like the scent of rhubarb.

The thing that makes this shower gel so special is the fact that it has these oil pearls in it. It looks very interesting and it makes this shower gel a bit more hydrating than the other two. You don’t feel much of it on the skin, it’s not like a scrub or anything, but it does make the skin feel really nice and soft. I really like this shower gel!

The Balea Shower & Oil Pearls Shower Gel is available at DM for €0,95.

Shower Gel Cocktail

Overall I really like all three shower gels. Not one of them really disappointed me. The packagings of the Isana one and the Mango one aren’t too pretty, but they do smell really good. Even though I love all of them, the Balea Shower & Oil Pearls is by far my favourite. That because it just looks really pretty, it’s a bit more special and it feels really nice on the skin. I highly recommend buying these shower gels!

That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and let me know which shower gel is your current favourite!

XOXO, Nicole.
