A while ago I came across this really pretty Stila Sun Bronzing Powder and decided to buy it. I have like a million different eyeshadows, 50 blushes and 60 different lipsticks, but I only have like 2 or 3 bronzers. Therefore it was time for me to branch out a little and give this one a try. So after trying out this beauty for a while it’s time for me to review it. If you’re interested, keep on reading!
The Stila Sun Bronzer comes in a very pretty bronze coloured packaging. It has the same size as the MAC Mineralized Skinfinishes, so it’s quite big and therefore contains quite a lot of product. I really like the packaging. I like that they kept it simple, not too big, not too fancy, but still fun because of the cute little stars all over the packaging.
The bronzer comes in two shades; number 1 and number 2. I bought shade number 1 since I’m really pale, but if you’re not, know that there’s still an option for you.
As you can tell, shade 1 is not too dark but also not too light. It’s not very orange toned, but it’s also not too muddy/ grey. It’s a nice balance between the two, which to me makes it the perfect bronzing colour. Another thing I really like about it is that it doesn’t have any shimmer to it. I don’t like it when my bronzers have obvious shimmers. A few shimmers here and there that don’t show up on your face is no problem, but a shiny bronzer is definitely a no for me.
I personally like using this bronzer to bronze up and sculpt my face. I don’t really do a heavy contour on a daily basis, but I do like to shape and sculpt my face a little by applying some of the bronzer in the hollows of my cheeks, along my temples and along my jawline. And I have to say, this bronzer is really perfect for that.
Pigmentation wise this bronzer is really great. It’s quite pigmented, so you don’t have to go over the areas you want to apply it to a million times in order to achieve the look you’re going for. However, if you’re new at contouring/ sculpting your face or if you’re just not that good at it (or whatever other reason you might have) it might be better to use something a little less pigmented so you can’t go wrong with it as easily.
The only teeny tiny downside to this amazing bronzer is that it’s a tad bit powdery. It’s not like super powdery and the fact that it’s powdery doesn’t interfere with the way this product acts on the face, but it can get kinda messy if you’re swirling your brush hard through the pan.
But, all together I think this Stila Sun Bronzer is kind of amazing. I’m first of all really glad I got my hands on it since I absolutely love Stila, and second of all I think it’s a great product. It’s pigmented, it does what I want it to do and it’s the perfect colour for me. I highly recommend giving it a try!
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know which bronzer you use most frequently!
