With Spring around the corner I felt like it was about time for me to write my first Spring-related post. So, today I’m going to show you a few of my favourite Spring-proof lipsticks. I know I’ve shown them to you about a year ago as well, but since I’ve tried and tested so many new lipsticks this year I thought it was about time for an update. Anyway, if you’re interested in finding out which lipsticks I think are perfect for Spring and why, make sure you continue reading!
Let’s start off with the first two. The first lipstick is actually a lip crayon. It’s the Rimmel Colour Rush Long Lasting Intense Colour Balm in the shade On Fire. This is a bright red colour that has quite some pigment in it, so it’s definitely not something for those of you who prefer wearing more neutral shades. I like it for Spring because it’s bright, fun and it just screams happiness.
The other lipstick in this picture is the Bourjois Shine Edition lipstick in the shade Famous Fuchsia. This is another bright colour. It’s a very pretty creamy fuchsia shade with a gorgeous sheen to it. What I like about it is that it is on the bright side, but because it has a shiny finish it’s still pretty wearable. Aside from that I think it’s just a very florally and fun colour and therefore I think it’s a very fitting colour to Spring!
Onto the next two lipsticks. The first one is by Chanel. It’s their Rouge Allure lipstick in the shade Melodieuse (second swatch on the second picture). It’s a very pretty coral shade and that’s just right up my alley. I honestly love coral lipstick all year round, but especially during Spring and Summer. I can’t wait to start wearing this beauty again!
The other lipstick is by MAC and it’s in the shade Coral Bliss. Just like Melodieuse it’s coral, but it’s very different. Coral Bliss has a way more orangy/peachy tone to it rather than a red/pinky tone. It’s still very pretty and fun for Spring and I think it’s also a bit more wearable. I really think this will become one of my go-to lipsticks again this Spring!
Next up we have a very wearable shade. This is the Essence Velvet Matt Lipstick in the shade 07. Even though it’s is quite a neutral shade and definitely a shade you could wear all year round, I think it’s the perfect Spring colour as well. The reason why I like this so much for Spring is because it’s natural, but it does have a fresh pink tint to it which resembles the Spring blossoms.
Aside from that I also really like the finish. It has a semi-matte finish. If that isn’t the most Spring-proof kinda finish I really don’t know what is.
The last two lipsticks I want to talk about are both by L’Oreal. They’re from their Rouge Caresse range in the shade Dating Coral (left on the first picture, right on the second picture) and Aphrodite Scarlet (right on the first picture, left on the second picture). Both of them are very fun colours to wear and because of their sheerness they’re also more on the wearable side. These are, and have always been, one of my top favourite lipsticks from Spring (and Summer)!
And that’s basically everything for today’s post! I hope you enjoyed reading it and
be sure to let me know which lipsticks you think are perfect for Spring!
XOXO, Nicole.
