Back in London I bought a couple of goodies from Soap & Glory. It’s a brand I’ve been meaning to try for a while, but I never really got the chance to do so. So back when I was there I picked up the Soap & Glory Archery 2-in-1 Brow Sculpting Crayon & Setting Gel. This is one of their famous brow pencils with the slanted tip. Just how I like them. Because it has the shape I love and because it comes with an eyebrow gel as well I decided this product might be worth the try and picked it up. Today it’s time for me to review it and if you’re interested in finding out what it is like and whether or not it’s worth purchasing, make sure you continue reading!
First things first, let’s talk about the packaging. Aside from the really pretty pink box the Soap & Glory Archery 2-in-1 Brow Sculpting Crayon & Setting Gel (what a mouth full) look pretty cool. It is rather thick for an eyebrow pencil, but in my opinion that does do something good for the overall look of the product. The outside of the tube is black and the letters and decoration on it are pink. It doesn’t really have much to it aside from the name of the product and the logo of the brand, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s funky and cool yet simple. I like that combination.
Like I mentioned before this pencil comes with an actual pencil as well as a brow gel. For the past couple of months I’ve been struggling with finding a great brow gel. One that is clear, not too thick and actually keeps my brows in place all day. So far I haven’t found a single one and therefore I was very pleased when I found out there is a little brow gel inside this product. And aside from the fact that you get two products in one, I also think it’s pretty handy that it’s inside one product so you don’t have to carry an extra product with you when you’re leaving the house.

Anyway, enough about the packaging. Let’s start talking about the product itself. Like most of you guys probably know by now, I have brown hair, which is why I bought the pencil in the shade Brownie Points. There were a total of three shades available so it isn’t a very wide variety of colours, but for me this is a great match so I don’t have a lot to complain about for myself. Anyway, Brownie Points is a very pretty ashy medium brown shade. I like how it’s not very warm but not too grey either. I also really like the name of it by the way.
My favourite thing about the shade is that it’s actually a medium brown and that it’s not too dark for me. I usually sit between a dark blonde colour and a medium brown when it comes to my brow pencils. But so far I’ve often experienced that the medium browns were too dark and the dark blonds were way too light. Luckily this shade is right in the middle and therefore a perfect match for my brow colour.
The pencil itself has this arched or slanted shape. A bit like a triangle. I don’t really know who came up with brow pencils like this one, but ever since I tried the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil I’m hooked on eyebrow products shaped like this. It might not be as precise as a normal shaped pencil, but it’s so much quicker to work with and a lot easier. To be completely honest with you I’m not the best at doing my brows so for me an easy-application product like this one is the way to go.
Let’s talk about the quality of the pencil. The pencil itself has a very nice texture. It’s not too harsh but it isn’t too soft either. Therefore it’s very easy to work with. You don’t have to worry too much about getting way too much product on your brows but you also don’t have to deal with a brow pencil that barely has any colour pay off. I don’t know if you guys ever have that struggle but I know I do.
The colour pay off is great as well. You don’t have to be extremely light handed with it and it does the job well. Because of the slanted tip I think it’s incredibly easy to create straight lines with it and fill in my brows with hairlike strokes. I know that, looking at the picture, it doesn’t seem like it’s an easy brow product to work with since my brows look like a hot mess, but that’s just due to my terrible brow skills and time pressure. I’m sorry for that.
Another great thing about the pencil is that it’s very longlasting. For some reason it just doesn’t budge at all. Whether it’s raining or very humid, this product goes nowhere and keeps my brows looking sort of fleeky all day long!
Moving on to the eyebrow gel. When you screw off the back part of the pencil this little wand comes out with the brow gel on it. The brow gel is clear and that’s a big plus for me. Sometimes when my brows are already kind of heavy, a tinted brow gel can just be a bit too much. Since this one is clear you can use it whenever you want, even if you’re brows are already on the darker side of the spectrum.
When it comes to the quality of the eyebrow gel I’m very, very impressed. I have to say that I did not really know what to expect from it and therefore I tried not to expect too much. However, it amazed me. It has exactly the kind of formula I like; nothing too thick or heavy, but very effective. It actually sets my brows in place like no other brow gel ever could and it’s capable of keeping my brows in place all day long. Literally all day long. Even the thick and heavy hairs can’t fall down thanks to this amazing gel.
Overall I think it’s clear that I fell in love with the Soap & Glory Archery 2-in-1 Brow Sculpting Pencil & Brow Gel. It’s just the best product I’ve ever used for filling in my brows and it’s also rather affordable. I love the shade of the pencil, the shape of it and the formula. I also really appreciate the lasting power of it. And the gel. Oh guys the gel. It’s amazing! Nothing has ever kept my brows in place as well as this eyebrow gel. I really need to go back to London to stock up on this! It’s amazing!
And that will be it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and be sure to let me know what your current holy grail brow product is!
