Ever since I started dating my boyfriend I’ve been sleeping away from home quite frequently. When I sleep away from home I obviously take my makeup bag with me, filled with everything I need to make my face look good. I thought it might be fun to show you guys what it is that I take with me whenever I go on a sleep-over, so that’s what I’m going to do today. If you’re interested in finding out what’s inside my sleep-over makeup bag, make sure you continue reading!
So, first things first, I always bring a moisturiser. I have to say that I do forget to bring this with me more often than not, but when I don’t, I mostly bring the Monuskin Recovery Balm with me. I bring this one with me because it comes in a small tube and therefore it doesn’t take in much space, and because it’s a very versatile product. Whether my skin is dry or oily, it always works for me.
I also bring a primer with me. Before I used to use the Nivea Aftershave Balm, I actually have a bottle of that at his place, but ever since I’ve started using this one by The Ordinary, the Adherence Silicone Primer, I have to bring it with me again. This primer is absolutely amazing and great for everyday!
When it comes to foundation I always like to bring one with me that doesn’t require much precision or attention. One that matches my skin perfectly so I won’t have to worry about foundation lines or things like that. Usually the foundation I take with me is the Chanel Perfection Lumiere. This one is very fool proof and looks really great on my skin.
For concealer I don’t really mind too much. I have a tube of Collection Lasting Perfection over at his place, but whenever I feel like I want something different I bring one that I’m currently liking. At the moment I’d bring the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. It’s very easy to work with and it looks great.
I usually don’t bring any powder with me because I have a tub of that over at his place. I believe I have a tub of the P2 loose powder over there, but I’m not completely sure about that. However, I’m not that picky when it comes to powder so it doesn’t really matter that much.
Onto brows. I have a Maybelline Brow Satin as well as a P2 brow gel over at his place, but sometimes I still like to bring the pencil that I’m currently in love with: the It Cosmetics Brow Power. This one is just a little easier and quicker to work with and I just like the results a little better.
Onto eyeshadow. I obviously have a jar of my beloved Maybelline Color Tattoo over at his place, but that’s not enough for creating an entire look. I do switch up the palette I bring regularly, but mostly I bring either this Tarte Eyes & Cheeks Palette, the Tarte Throw Kindness Around Like Confetti Palette or one of my Stila Eyes Are The Window Palettes. These palettes are just very easy to use and very fool proof, which is why I like to bring those.
For mascara I like to bring the one I’m currently using, which is the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. This works great for my lashes so that’s why I bring that one.
Lastly I always take a blush and a highlighter with me. I have a travel size Benefit Hoola Bronzer over at his place, which is why I don’t take that one with me in my makeup bag every time. The blush I usually go for is either the one that comes in the Tarte Eyes & Cheeks palette or one of those small Tarte blushes I bought around Christmas time. Because they are so small they don’t take in much space which makes them great for taking them with me.
For highlighter I either bring my mini Becca highlighter in Opal because of its small size, or if I have a little more space left in my beauty bag I bring my Dior Nude Air Luminizer with me. Both of them are absolutely stunning!
I don’t bring lipstick with me because I don’t really think it’s necessary when I’m with my boyfriend.
And that is everything I bring with me in my makeup bag when I go on a sleep-over. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know what you’d take with you!
XOXO, Nicole.
