Not too long ago I ordered my first two Sleek Pout Polishes. I’ve been wanting to try them for years so I was very excited to start testing them out. So after trying them out for a while it’s time for me to write a review about these two, long wanted, beauties. If you’re interested in finding out whether or not these Sleek Pout Polish Tinted Lip Conditioners are actually as good as I always expected them to be, make sure you keep on reading!
Let’s start off with the first colour I got, which is called Powder Pink. Powder Pink is a very pretty light powder pink colour. It has a cool undertone and is kind of pale and therefore it might not be a colour for everyone. Personally I really like colours like this and I do think that they look quite okay on me, so for me it’s definitely a great fit.
Before I jump into any more detail about the product itself I first want to explain what a Tinted Lip Conditioner actually is. I mean I know, and I’m sure lot’s of you know, but I do think that there are people who don’t, so for those people I’ll briefly explain what they are. Tinted lip conditioners are basically the same thing as tinted lipbalm. It’s just a lipbalm with a touch of colour to it. In most cases they aren’t super pigmented, since they are tinted, but it’s not a lipstick, but there are obviously exceptions to that.
The thing I like so much about tinted lip conditioners is that you can get both moisture out of it as well as a nice bit of colour. It’s pretty much a 2-in-1 product and even though I’m not a huge 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 person, I do like it when it comes to tinted lip conditioners. It’s just easy, quick and you get to look pretty and moisturised at the same time. What’s not to like about that?
The only downside to some tinted lip conditioners is that they aren’t actually doing anything for your lips, moisture wise. These lip conditioners by Sleek luckily aren’t like that. In fact, these are super moisturising. They really do something for your lips and I love that.
The other colour I got is called Pink Cadillac. Pink Cadillac is a pretty bright pinkish red colour. I didn’t expect it to be this bright so the first time I saw it I was quite surprised, but I have to say I do really like the look of it now. It’s not like anything I already have and it’s just something different and unique, and to me that’s always a very positive thing.
Aside from the fact that these lip conditioners by Sleek are so moisturising, they also have another feature to them which makes them awesome. I’m talking about the fact that they have SPF 15 in them. SPF 15 is not super crazy high, but for your lips it’s quite great. I always forget to protect my lips from the sun, so if lip products have SPF in them, it’s always a big plus for me.
The only thing I do really dislike about the Sleek Tinted Lip Conditioners is the scent. I personally really dislike the scent of coconut. I just can’t stand it, it’s one of the worst scents in the world in my opinion. And these balms kinda smell like coconut. It’s pretty strong, but it’s not annoyingly strong in a way I can’t bare wearing these balms luckily, but to be honest, I would have liked them a little better if they smelled differently.
Pigmentation wise I was quite impressed. I didn’t expect these balms to be very pigmented, since they are tinted lip conditioners, not lipstick, but in fact the colour pay off is really impressive. But don’t worry, if you do prefer the sheer look you can still get that by gently dabbing the product onto your lips. Your lips will still feel moisturised, but the colour won’t be as intense.
Lastly I want to talk about the texture of this product. I expected them to be a bit harder, like more solid, but in fact they are really creamy. They are very soft and therefore super easy to use, but I do feel like it’s a little messier. Or at least, it can be a little messier. For me that’s not a big deal, but if you prefer more solid lip conditioners, you might want to skip these.
All together I’m quite positive about these Sleek Pout Polishes. I love the colours, they are very moisturising, they are surprisingly pigmented and the packaging is pretty. The only thing I wish would be different is the scent, but aside from that these balms are pretty much amazing.
The Sleek Pout Polish Tinted Lip Conditioners are available online for €5,99.
