I believe I’ve written about my signature makeup look before. Maybe even more than once, but I’m not completely sure about that. Anyway, today I’m going to do that once again. For those of you who don’t know, a signature look is just the look you always go for. The look you create when you’re not in the mood for being creative with your makeup or just your go-to look if you’re not that into makeup at all. Anyway, that’s what I’m going to share today. If you’re interested in reading about it, make sure you continue reading!
Let’s start off with primer. I do switch between two primers but I decided to really show just one of each product in this post so I narrowed it down to the one I use most often. The primer I use most often is by The Ordinary. It’s their High-Adherence Silicone Primer. I actually almost finished a tube of it and I’m about to break open my second tube. It’s just the best primer I have ever tried and I can’t go a day without it.
For foundation I’m really into my Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet at the moment. Since I’m really a foundation junkie it was extremely hard for me to narrow it down to just this one since I do switch up the foundation I use on a daily basis, but this is the one I gravitate towards when I’m not in the mood to do makeup and I just have to get it done. It matches my skintone perfectly and it has great coverage.
Moving on to concealer. My most used concealer at the moment is probably the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer. It’s just a very quick to work with concealer and it does an amazing job at concealing my terribly dark under eye circles. It’s also the perfect shade for me, it’s a tad bit lighter than my skintone but it’s not too light. It also blends extremely easy and sits beautifully on the skin.
To powder it off I like to use the RCMA No-Colour Powder. It has been on my wishlist for years and I’m just so happy I finally have it. It’s by far the best powder I have ever touched and I don’t want to use any other powder ever again. It’s the absolute best. I did put a bit of it in another tub because it’s easier to work with that way, but aside from that it’s just the best!
After powdering my face I fill in my brows. I’ve been using the Anastasia Brow Definer for that lately in the shade Soft Brown. It’s one of those brow pencils with the slanted tip which works really quick and easy. It only takes a couple of minutes to fill my brows in with this which is perfect for days where I’m not really feeling it. To set my brows in place I use the Inglot Brow Gel. It’s almost gone but I’m going to buy a new one really soon!
After brows it’s time for the eyes, my favourite part. I start off by applying a bit of my beloved Maybelline Colour Tattoo in the shade On and On Bronze as a base for the eyeshadow. I have been using this everyday for years and that’s because it just makes the eyeshadow look way prettier and it keeps it in place a lot longer.
For eyeshadow I always go for the amazing Stila Eyes Are The Window palette in Soul when I’m not in a creative mood. This is my absolute number one favourite palette that I would use every day if I could. If I use it I put a bit of Light underneath the brow bone (the matte highlighter) and I put Vitality all over the lid. I apply a bit of Kitten in the centre of the lid and put Hearth all throughout the crease as a blending shade. I put Peace in the crease as my darker shade and Being in the outer corner to darken things up. I blend it a little and then I’m good to go. It’s my favourite look and it’s also the look you see me wearing most often.
When I finish my eyeshadow I like to curl my lashes with the Nars Eyelash Curler and apply some of my MAC Pro Beyond Twisted Lash mascara to my lashes. I top that mascara off with a bit of the Essence Forbidden Volume mascara and that’s it for the eyes.
After finishing off the eyes I apply some of the NYX HD Blush in the shade Taupe on my face trying to contour a little. I do it with quite a fluffy brush since I’m not really trying to contour, but I’m just trying to add back some depth into my face and if that leads to my face looking a little more contoured that’s great.
After that I apply blush to the cheeks. I usually go for the Dior Splendor 2016 blush since that’s my absolute favourite and I think it looks good with pretty much every look I create, but especially with this look.
To finish everything off I like to apply a bit of highlighters to the highest points of my cheeks. For that I’ve been using the Jouer Powder Highlighter in the shade Citrine. I recently got this but I’m completely in love with it. It’s seriously the prettiest highlighter out there!
To finish off the look even more I might even put on a lipstick. If I decide to do so I almost always go for my beloved YSL lipstick in the shade Beige Blouse. It’s just the prettiest of them all!
And that’s everything for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and be sure to let me know what your signature look is like!
