September has been a really nice month for me. School started again which was a little less amazing, but aside from that I had quite a lot spare time and I still had a lot makeup laying around ready to be tested. Just like in August I have tried a ton of new products and I’ve fallen in love with so many of them. Today I’m going to share my top favourites of the month with you. It was extremely difficult to make a decent selection because of the fact I’ve been trying out so much, but I think I did a pretty decent job. Anyway, if you’re interested in finding out what I’ve been loving throughout the month of September, make sure you continue reading!
Let’s start off with a banger, the MAC x Nicki Minaj limited edition. I actually bought it a couple of days before it was supposed to launch because somehow Douglas already had it and I was very, very happy about that. The Nicki Minaj collection came with a ton of lipsticks, but I decided to only buy one of the two actual limited edition colours. The one that I bought is called Nicki’s Nude and it’s a gorgeous rosy, peachy nude colour. For my skin tone it’s not as nude as it would be for people who are a little more tanned than me, but either way I think it’s absolutely stunning and I’m really happy I got my hands on it.
Another big lipstick favourite of the month is my Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipstick in the shade Boy. I don’t know why, but all of a sudden I had a feeling that I wanted to buy a Chanel lipstick and moments later I had it. And I’m so happy about that. I know it was a bit of an impulsive purchases, but that doesn’t make it any less amazing. This shade is just the perfect colour for everyday wear. It’s unique but natural. And the quality of the lipstick is just insane. It feels so soft and smooth. I just love wearing it!
Moving on to a foundation favourite. I actually have a couple since I’ve been trying out a ton of foundations lately. It’s very hard for me to actually only show you three, because I have many, many more that I’m in love with and really want to show to you guys. Let’s start off with the first one, the YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint foundation. I saw it in a Youtube video and ever since that moment I was determined to get my hands on it. Even though I do feel like the shade isn’t a perfect match, I do love it. This foundation looks so flawless on my skin. It looks like a second skin, so natural, but it does provide a ton of coverage. It’s just the dream in a bottle if you ask me!
Another foundation that I love just as much is the Lancome Teint Idole foundation. I haven’t heard a ton of positive things about it, but for some reason I still felt like I really needed to try it, which is what I did. I have to say that the application of the foundation does take some work, but if you do that correctly, it will look absolutely incredible! And it will look that incredible all day, no matter how sweaty you might get.
Lastly I want to talk to you guys about the MAC Studio Sculpt foundation. This is another foundation that isn’t that popular in beauty-world, but I have no idea why. In my opinion this is really amazing. It’s actually incredible. It has amazing coverage, it makes my skin look beautiful and it also lasts all day. I can’t say it’s a very natural look, but I do love it!
Moving on to something I actually purchased pretty recently and I haven’t gotten around to review it just yet. It’s the Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Base. I saw this on someones blog, I don’t remember who’s blog it was, and from that moment I was determined to get it. It didn’t take me longer than a week or two to finally get around to it and I’m happy about that.
I have to say that I do really like using primers, but I am very picky when it comes to them. But in all honestly, this is everything I was ever looking for. It’s smooth, it’s soft, it’s silky and it makes my skin feel and look incredible. Because of the pink tint to it, it takes away the dullness and makes me look more healthy and awake. In addition to that it also makes my makeup go on much smoother and I do feel like it makes it last longer.
Lastly I want to show you guys some body care favourites. Recently I’ve fallen in love with the brand Korres. I got a Korres body milk in my last LF Beauty Box and ever since I tried that I’m hooked. I ended up getting the Bergamot Pear shower gel and body lotion and I absolutely love them. The scent is just really special and really, really nice. It’s not something you’ll find everywhere.
I also got the Cherry Almond body milk from Korres which I’ve fallen in love with even more. It’s such an amazing scent for autumn. It’s warm but fresh and it keeps my body so incredibly well moisturised. It’s the best!
And that’s pretty much it for my September favourites. It was really hard for me to narrow it down to just a couple of products, but that does make these posts extra special. Anyway, thank you guys so much for reading today’s post and be sure to let me know what your favourites of the month of September are!
* Btw. Please note that because I have a ton of products ready to be reviewed, my reviews are a little behind. Therefore there are a lot of products I mention in these posts that might not be reviewed until a month or so, but I’m trying my best to keep up.
