Sephora is one of my favourite stores on earth. Well actually it’s my favourite. It’s heaven for me. But that’s not the point I’m trying to make here. Because I love that store so much I decided to try out some of their makeup products. One of the products I decided to give a try is their Rouge Shine Lipstick. I’ve been wearing it a lot lately and therefore I think it’s time for me to review the little bad boy. If you’re interested in finding out more about this lipstick, make sure you continue reading!
The Sephora Rouge Shine lipstick comes in a very pretty silver packaging. It has an unique shape since it’s smaller in the middle as it is at the top and bottom and I really like that about it. I like the colour of the packaging and I like that it’s so simple. The only text you’ll find on this packaging is the word ‘Sephora’ at the bottom. That’s it.
This Rouge Shine lipstick by Sephora is available in many different colours ranging from light, wearable, peachy to dark and deep shades. There is a shade in this collection for pretty much everyone.
The colour I chose is colour number 52 which is called Obsessed With You. This is a very summery colour. It’s a peachy shade that is perfect to brighten up your entire look. I really like wearing colours like this one on a daily basis because aside from brightening up your look it will add a nice pop of colour as well without it looking to extreme. Peachy shades like this one are very wearable and definitely not too out there, but they aren’t as boring as those everyday pink shades (which are gorgeous as well obviously).
The Sephora Rouge Shine lipsticks claim to be comfortable and hydrating throughout the entire wearing time and it’s supposed to have a gorgeous shiny finish to it. Let’s see if that’s true or not!
When it comes to the shiny finish I think it’s pretty clear they weren’t lying. Don’t get me wrong: I’m not saying that it’s so shiny you could use your lips as a mirror when you’re wearing this lipstick, but it does have a gorgeous sheen to it. It’s not shimmery which I like, it’s more of a glossy finish.
Pigmentation wise it’s a great lipstick too. It has lots of pigment and it applies really smoothly. When it comes to the way it feels on the lips I’m quite impressed. It’s lightweight but very moisturising. It almost feels like you’re wearing a tinted lipbalm. I really like that about this lipstick.
When it comes to wearing time this lipstick isn’t as bad as I expected it to be. Usually shiny lipsticks don’t last that long, but this one really doesn’t budge unless you eat an entire meal.
Overall I’m really impressed by this lipstick. Even though it’s not a high class brand but just the Sephora-own brand, I really like it. The quality of the lipstick is very impressive. It’s smooth, it’s creamy, it’s hydrating and it feels very comfortable on the lips. The colour is absolutely stunning and the lipstick has lots of pigment and a gorgeous finish. All together I just absolutely love it and therefore I highly recommend giving one of the lipsticks form this range a try!
The Sephora Rouge Shine Lipstick is available online and in stores for €10,95.
That was it for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know which lipstick is your current favourite!
