Rituals The Ritual Of Chado Body Cream

15/05/2019

Rituals launched a special edition collection every winter and summer, and a couple of weeks ago it was time for their newest collection. A collection called ‘The Ritual of Chado’. It’s a collection full of products in a very chic packaging. And that immediately caught my eye. Obviously I just had to go ahead and buy something from this collection. The item I picked up ended up buying the Ritual Of Chado Body Cream. I’m a big fan of the Rituals’ Body Creams, so I couldn’t wait to give this one a try. In today’s post I’ll tell you everything about it.

The Ritual Of Chado Body Cream from Rituals comes in the most stunning packaging. I have to say that, with this collection, the packaging is really what sold this product to me. I love the wooden lid in combination with the matte green tub. It looks so classic and pretty. I love how simple they kept it, and the font is just adorable. Well, I think it’s clear, this packaging is totally up my alley. If it wasn’t for the fact that I already have a million and one body care product, I’d buy this entire collection just for the packaging.

Anyway, in terms of looks I think the Ritual Of Chado collection is much prettier than all other Rituals collections. It’s so classic and earthy. I love that. It’s their summer limited edition and that does surprise me. I didn’t think such an earthy scheme would make up their actual summer collection. But having looked at it for longer, I do start to see why. And since I love the entire sh*****t out of this packaging, I’m definitely not saying I don’t like that it’s happening right now already.

In terms of price I definitely think that the Rituals body creams have become more and more expensive over the years. They definitely did. But to be honest, they are really amazing so they’re worth it for me.

Rituals The Ritual of Chado Body Cream – €18,50

The Ritual of Chado range is all about mindfulness and awakening your soul. The main scent-ingredients are bamboo and matcha. The inner peace that this body cream is supposed to provide, is definitely what I need right now. Life is stressful and lord oh lord, my soul needs to be calmed down. Seriously. And I hope that Rituals isn’t lying and this product is going to give that to me.

Okay, so, about the body cream. The scent is really unique. Anyone who knows Rituals, knows that they put out the most unique scents. That’s that make you go “yup, that’s typical Rituals”. You know. That kind of thing. This scent is even more unique than most of their stuff. It’s very earthy, but also fresh because of the matcha in there. It really does smell like calmth. And I don’t know if that’s even a worth or a thing, but it does you know. I’m really not lying right here. I mean, why would I?! I’m spiralling.

I actually think that the Ritual of Chado scent is a very universally loved scent. It’s definitely unique, but in a way it’s great for everybody. It’s not too eccentric or anything like that. I think that makes this a great gift option for literally everyone who needs to calm their inner soul down with some body cream. Now that I’m typing that out loud, it sounds weird. Who calms their inner soul with a bit of moisture?

Anyway, spiralling again. The Ritual of Chado Body Cream has a really unique texture. It actually surprised me a little bit when I first touched it. Normal Rituals body creams are very nice and hydrating and have this soft formula, but it’s different than this is. This particular body cream has more of a heavy, hydrating feel. But it’s not heavy on the skin. It’s just as light as most Rituals body creams are. And that’s pretty weird. When you first touch it, you feel that moisture, the hydration and the creaminess of the product. But when you put it onto your skin, it sinks in rather quickly and definitely does not feel heavy.

The scent has a nice strength as well. You definitely smell it once it’s on your skin. But it’s not too extreme. It might become stronger if you use it in combination with the matching shower foam. But I don’t have that at the moment. I’m not that in love with shower foams these days, if I can be completely honest for a second here. I much prefer the Shower Oils from Rituals. They are so much better for the skin and their scents are more pure.

But that’s not what we’re talking about right now. What we are talking about is the Ritual of Chado Body Cream. And that stuff is amazing. It keeps my skin moisturised all day long. It really does make a difference to me. It makes me feel comfortable in my own skin and more confident. I am a fan!

All in all I definitely don’t regret buying the Rituals The Ritual of Chado Body Cream. It’s not the cheapest thing in the world and you don’t get the most product ever, but it’s all worth it. I love the earthy but fresh scent and the formula of this body cream is just out of this world. Anyone deserves to own a jar of this absolute goodness. I mean it. I want to give this as a present to literally everyone I know. It’s that good. And I’m quite a critical person when it comes to beauty and body care products.

With that being said, it’s time to end things for today. It has been fun and all, but I think I’ve blabberd enough. Thank you guys so much for reading today’s review, and be sure to let me know if you’ve already tried the Ritual of Chado range from Rituals. You reaaaaaally should!

Deze moet ik eens gaan besnuffelen, want ik kan me bij de geur vrijwel niets voorstellen! En dat houten deksel, love it!

    Thanks for the review Nicole!

I think I’d like this one – I love calming scents, and I bet the fresh matcha scent makes it smell even better too! I find I always need a super moisturizing body cream because my skin does get dry. I might just go ahead and try this one out. Thanks again for recommending! 🙂
