In terms of bodycare Rituals is one of my all time favourite brands. Especially their body creams always seem to work really well for me. Recently I added a couple of new ones to my collection, including the Ritual Of Anahata Body Cream. This one looked very Christmassy to me and it’s one from a range I wasn’t familiar with just yet. I decided to buy it and I’ve been using it a lot lately. In today’s post I’m going to talk to you guys about my experience with it and I’m going to let you know if I love this Rituals Body Cream just as much as all of the others. If you’re interested in finding out about that, make sure you continue reading this post!
The Rituals Body Cream from the Ritual Of Anahata range comes in a really standard Rituals packaging. I say standard because in terms of shape and design it’s the same as most of their body cream packagings. However, standard doesn’t mean that this isn’t a really pretty packaging. That’s definitely not what I’m saying at all. In fact I like the way the look of this Rituals body cream. I love the colour scheme on the packaging and I’m especially a big fan of the golden cap. I think the packaging as a whole looks very Christmassy and it makes me think that there’s something cozy smelling inside. I know cozy isn’t a scent, but it’s a feeling you can get from a scent.
The packaging is very basic in terms of design. It doesn’t have much going on aside from a golden drawing on the side. It also has some text on it telling us what this product is about. The tub contains 200 ml of product. That’s a pretty standard amount of a body cream. However, I do think that this makes the packaging a bit bulky and big for me. I mean, 200 ml fits in a smaller packaging as well.

According to the Rituals website, this Ritual of Anahata Body Cream is enriched with sweet rosewood and the enchanting essence of the pine tree. They claim that it will leave your skin silky soft and hydrated. These claims aren’t very elaborate, but they do cover the main purpose of this product: hydrating your body skin. Or well, your skin. Body skin isn’t really a thing people say right? Anyway, I do think that Rituals always plays pretty safe when it comes to their claims. I mean the claims they make are very basic and if they can’t even do that it would be a pretty terrible product. But well, at least they said something right.
Because the claim mainly consists out of the fact that it will hydrate your skin I don’t think that gives us much to talk about. Yes it does. Every body cream, body butter and body lotion does and so does this. It does leave my skin feeling soft, smooth and hydrated. Just the way it should. I wouldn’t say my skin feels extremely more hydrated after using this product compared to other products, but that’s okay. It does its job. Because of the creamy and rich texture I do feel like it creates this hydrating barrier that makes sure that the moisture that’s already in your skin stays in. And I really like the way that feels.
This Rituals Body Cream however does have this really creamy feeling, which does leave behind a bit of a greasy or oily layer after putting it on. It’s not as lightweight as a body lotion and therefore it won’t sink in as quickly. I don’t really mind that, it’s pretty obvious actually, but it is something worth mentioning in my opinion.
In terms of scent I absolutely adore this body cream. This is actually by far my favourite scent out of all of the Rituals Body Cream jars that I own. And let me tell you, I have quite a lot of them. This one just has that perfect warm scent. A scent that makes you feel really cosy and pampered. I think it’s very difficult to describe a scent, especially when it comes to Rituals scents, but I hope this helps somehow.
Even though Rituals always has these very specific and unique scents, I do think that this isn’t as unique and specific as most of their products. That might sound like a bad thing to say. But if I’m being completely honest I don’t hate that about it. It does definitely have those Rituals vibes to it, but not as prominent as their other scents. It’s a bit more of a, well, ‘normal’ kind of scent. Normal with a twist. And I’m all about that.
All in all I really enjoy using the Rituals Body Cream from the Ritual Of Anahata range. It is a limited edition but it’s currently available in their outlet online. I think it’s one of their best ranges they ever put out and I love it for that. If you’ve tried multiple Rituals body creams the texture or effect of it might not wow you, but it does what it should do. It’s definitely better at hydrating your skin than a super cheap drugstore body cream is and I like the over all experience of it a lot as well. I’m a big fan, and if you like Rituals products, you might want to try this one as well.
That’s pretty much it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and be sure to let me know what you think of this body cream and which Rituals scent or line is your favourite!
