I don’t think I’ve spoken about Rituals a lot over the years and to be completely honest with you my Rituals collection is quite small. However, I do think Rituals is an incredibly amazing brand and when I saw their new holiday collection I was super excited to give it a try. Today I’m going to review their Ritual Of Light Pure Light Body Cream. If you’re interested in finding out more about it, make sure you continue reading!
First things first: packaging. I don’t know about you but I think this is one of the prettiest Rituals holiday packagings EVER! It’s completely black and has a matte golden lid. The jar itself is decorated with gorgeous little lights, the name of the product, the Rituals logo and a golden limited edition sticker. Overall I think it looks really pretty and very wintery. I love it!
The Ritual Of Light collection consists of quite a lot of products including a scrub, a shower foam, a bath foam, some scented candles and candle stick, tea and obviously: a body cream. I personally really love the Rituals body creams so I decided to go for that.
Last year I really liked the scent of the Rituals holiday collection, but it just wasn’t very wintery. It was a very Rituals-proof scent but it just missed that wintery sparkle which is why I never ended up buying that. This year Rituals completely changed it up. Instead of creating a very Rituals-y scent that lacks the winter sparkle they created a super winter proof product.
The scent of this year has two main ingredients: sweet orange and cinnamon. Cinnamon is a very tricky ingredient for me. Sometimes it turns out incredible, but sometimes it turns out smelling absolutely disgusting and cheap.
Luckily for me this scent ended up being on the good side of the cinnamon spectrum. Mainly because at first I just didn’t know it was supposed to smell like cinnamon, and when you don’t know things like that you sometimes just don’t smell that. But now that I do smell it I still really like it. It’s a warm scent with a hint for freshness thanks to the orange. It’s not the most Rituals-y scent I’ve ever smelled, but I do really like it!
When it comes to the quality of the product I’m very positive. I’ve always loved the Rituals body creams because they just have that amazing soft and light texture and this product is just like that.
It’s such a unique texture. I mean you guys know how much I love the body butters from The Body Shop, but this is just next level guys. I love it. This is such a luxurious cream. It feels so rich as well as light weight as well as creamy on the skin and it makes my skin feel very nice and hydrated.
It also sinks in super quickly and doesn’t leave an annoyingly thick greasy layer on top of the skin, but it does make you feel like you’ve been taken care of. I love that about it!
I think it’s clear that I’m really enjoying this body cream. It wasn’t a big surprise for me, but I’m glad it ended up not disappointing me. In my opinion this is one of the best holiday collection Rituals ever made and I highly recommend giving some of the products a try before it’s too late!
The Rituals Ritual Of Light Body Creme is available in stores and online for €17,50.
That was it for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know which Rituals scent is your favourite!
XOXO, Nicole.
