Like you guys probably know by now, Rituals launched a stunning and exclusive Amsterdam Collection in collaboration with the Rijksmuseum. I think it’s a phenomenal collection and therefore I bought a total of three products from the range. First of all I got the Rituals Amsterdam Collection Body Cream and I also bought the Rituals Amsterdam Collection Body Mist. The third product I bought is the one I’m going to review today, the Rituals Amsterdam Collection Foaming Shower Gel. And if you’re interested in finding out more about it, make sure you continue reading this post!
Like all other products from the Rituals Amsterdam Collection, the Rituals Amsterdam Collection Foaming Shower Gel comes in an absolutely gorgeous looking packaging. I have to admit that -compared to other types of packagings- I never really nail photographing the beauty of shower foams, but I tried my best okay. The Amsterdam Collection Foaming Shower Gel, or shower foam as I like to call it, comes in a white can with blue designs all over it. The other products from the Amsterdam collection do have like a gold lid or something like that, but the shower foam doesn’t. I do think that the cap could’ve been golden. But I’m sure Rituals has a great reason not to do that.
Just like all other Rituals shower foams, the Amsterdam Collection Foaming Shower Gel comes with 200 ml of product. For a shower foam I think that’s more than enough. I don’t use shower foams that often, but when I do I feel lik the bottles last me a flippin’ lifetime. They never get empty!
In terms of price I think this shower foam is very reasonably priced. A tenner for a shower foam isn’t that crazy in my opinion. Again, it’s a Euro more than a regular shower foam from Rituals. But then again, what are we going to do about that?
Rituals Amsterdam Collection Foaming Shower Gel 200 ml – €9,50
Like I mentioned before, the Rituals Amsterdam Collection has a very subtle, fresh and floral yet fruity scent. It’s not a typical Rituals scent, but it is really nice. I think it’s a calming yet refreshing scent and I think it’s totally suitable for the Spring time. If you want to read more in depth details about the scent you might want to read the other two reviews I did on the Rituals Amsterdam Collection. I just don’t want to be to repetitive here.
The shower foams from Rituals are always quite nice. They are definitely not as soft and hydrating as the shower oils they make, but they’re not drying either. At least, this one isn’t. I feel like this foaming shower gel has a very rich and creamy formula. It’s definitely a foam, but it also has some kind of creaminess to it that normal shower foams don’t have. This makes it super comfortable on the skin and also a little bit hydrating.
While using this product the scent isn’t incredibly strong and that did surprise me a little bit. I mean, you can smell it, but because it’s very subtle it’s not too prominent. If I use this while taking a bath with some kind of Lush product in there, I can hardly smell it. On the other hand, I do like that it’s nice and subtle and it also makes me feel really nice and clean.
That’s the thing I love about a shower foam. You know how you get that really clean feeling when something is nice and foamy. Well, a shower foam is already a foam so that clean feeling will be there from the start. This might be a weird thing to like about a shower foam, but I’m just being real here.
All in all I do like the Rituals Amsterdam Collection Foaming Shower Gel. I think that the design of the bottle is absolutely stunning and I do really like the scent. I’m personally not big on shower foams, but for a shower foam I do think this is really nice. The formula is hydrating and it leaves me feeling clean and soft. It’s definitely a great collectors piece and a nice addition to my Rituals collection!
And on that note I’m going to end today’s post. Thank you guys so much for reading it and be sure to let me know what you think of the Rituals Amsterdam Collection!
Wéér die prachtige verpakking, ahh! Fijn te lezen dat je zo te spreken bent over deze collectie.
Hi Nicole,
Nice review you have about the Amsterdam Collection. I also got the 3 items you got and I love each of them. But I was wondering, what do you been by settle? Or do you mean subtle?
