Rimmel is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands. In London I’ve bought quite a few of their products and not one of them has let me down so far. One of the products I bought was this really cute tiny blush in a very pretty perfect everyday pink color. The color really stood out to me so I decided it was at least worth the try. If you’re interested in finding out whether this blush is the first Rimmel product to let me down or not, keep on reading!
The blush comes in a really basic but cute small square box. The bottom part is black and the lid is made out of clear plastic and has the Rimmel crown on it. I do like the look of it. I like that it’s small and that it doesn’t take in a lot of space and I love that it’s just simple. Even though the blush looks small, it contains 4 grams of product, which is more than a MAC mineralized blush. I’m kind of surprised by that to be honest, but that’s only positive for this blush.
The color I chose is called Live Pink. Live Pink is, to me, the perfect everyday pink blush color. I love that it’s not too pale, not too warm, but just perfect. I have no other words to describe this gorgeous color. It’s definitely one of those colors I would use a lot and that would look really good with any makeup look. Blushes like that are keepers, ’cause you’ll be sure you’ll get a lot of wear out of them.
This blush is called the “Lasting Perfection” blush, which to me sounds like it’s supposed to last long. I’m going to be totally honest hear and tell you guys that I’m not sure whether or not this one lasts excessively long. I’ve actually never really had a blush that stayed on for such a long time since blushes just don’t stay in place that long. To me the staying power is the same as the staying power of other blushes I have tried.
Texture wise I think this blush is actually really nice. It’s not super powdery, it’s easy to apply and it looks very natural on the skin. If you apply this one very lightly I think it would be the perfect “no makeup makeup look” kind of blush. It really gives you that healthy bit of color on your cheeks, but not in a “I’ve just put my head in the snow and I’m not in front of the fire place” kind of way.
The thing that surprised me the most was the pigmentation. I expected the pigmentation to me decent, nothing special, just like any other blush. But instead this blush is pigmented as crap. I didn’t believe what I saw when I just swatched it, but I love it. I do think you should use this with a light hand in order to get it to look pretty, but if you do so it’s just absolutely amazing.
Over all I can’t say anything else than that I’m really impressed by this blush. I didn’t expect too much from it, I just thought the color was gorgeous, but in the end it turned out to be an amazing high quality good looking blush, which I’ll definitely wear a lot. This has definitely become one of my favorite blushes ever!
