Real Techniques is one of my favourite brands when it comes to brushes for many, many reasons. I just love the fact that these brushes are designed by two amazing professional makeup artists who also create the most amazing Youtube videos. Besides that I think the brushes look good and the quality is usually amazing. Because I love their brushes so much, I decided to add another one of their brushes to my collection, the blush brush. Today it’s time for the review. If you’re interested in finding out whether or not the Real Techniques Blush Brush is as amazing as the others, keep on reading!
The Real Techniques Blush Brush is, as the name already suggests, a brush made for the application of blush. Throughout the years I have used many different brushes to apply blush with, in many different shapes and forms, but none of them were shaped like this one is. Most brushes I used were either angled or just like a powder brush but smaller, but this is different.
The Real Techniques Blush Brush is oval shaped. It has both black and white hairs and it’s pretty soft and flexible. The hairs aren’t stiff at all and they bend really easily. At first I wasn’t really sure if I was going to like this for the application of blush, but honestly, now I wouldn’t want to use anything else any more.
The thing I love most about this brush is that you only use one side of it when you apply your blush, the other side stays clean. The thing I like about that is that if you want to use a colour that is completely different than the colour you used before, the colours won’t mix. You can just use the other side of the brush and you’re good to go. I think that’s amazing, especially when it comes to using matte and shimmery blushes.
Another thing I like about it is that it applies your blush in a very natural way. It doesn’t load on the pigment, it also doesn’t make it super settle and sheer either, it’s right in between. I love using pretty dark red blushes, like Sleek Flushed, and since that one is loaded with pigment a brush like this one is actually amazing.
Yup, I think it’s clear. I absolutely love the Real Techniques Blush Brush. I like the unique shape of it, I like the fact that it has the duo-fiber like hair thingy going on and I love the way it applies my blush. I think it’s a very unique brush, but it’s definitely one I can’t live without any more. I’m so glad my hunt for the perfect blush brush is finally over! I highly recommend this brush!
The Real Techniques Blush Brush is available at feelunique.com and at Superdrug for €/£9,99.
