You know how you sometimes can be totally in love with a certain product. It’s everything you ever wanted and more and you never want to use anything else. It seems to be the absolute favourite. But all of a sudden you literally completely forget about it. Whenever you see it somewhere you’re like ‘yeah, I should use that again, I love it’. But somehow that never happens either. Well, that’s what this post is all about. The products I used to love and really want to rediscover. If you’re interested in finding out which products that are for me, you going to have to make sure that you continue reading this post!
The first product I want to talk about are my Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes. A while ago I was completely crazy about Tarte and their blushes just amazed me. However at some point I just totally forgot about them. I don’t know what happened, why or how. But from one moment to the other they were gone. Out of my routine and never to be seen again. Not because I didn’t like them anymore. They just disappeared.
Recently I was looking through my makeup collection and I came across this stunning Tarte Blush Bliss Palette from last years holiday collection. It looked so flippin’ amazing to me I just couldn’t understand why I completely forgot about it. I also have these adorable mini Tarte blushes from a little holiday set. I loved them throughout the time I was testing them and then I forgot about those as well. I really don’t know why because I did love them a lot. I’m going to put them near my desk now so I won’t forget about them again!
This next one is more of a product type thing that I want to get back into, but it is about specific products within this category. Let’s not be this vague, it’s about wearing lipgloss. A while back I bought the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb and it is the most stunning thing I have ever seen. The colour is extremely flattering and the gloss itself is incredibly comfortable to wear. Overall I just think it creates a really good look. But somehow, after wearing it non-stop for a while, I forgot about it. I never carry it in my purse anymore and that’s when I tend to forget lip products.
Another lipgloss I really want to start using again is the Dior Addict Gloss in the shade Diorama. I bought this mainly because I wanted a Dior gloss in my collection, but I also think that it is really pretty. The colour is very wearable and flattering and I’m just a sucker for that glossy finish.
Benefit They’re Real Mascara
Moving on to my beloved Benefit They’re Real Mascara. I remember loving this like it was yesterday. It was actually one of the first more high-end mascara’s that I ever bought and I was completely into it. It was the best mascara ever to me. It had the most perfect wand, the wand I look for on every mascara. And the formula. You guys, it was just a combination of everything that made this a gift from heaven for me and my lashes. But well, I lost track of it.
At some point I ran out of it and I didn’t really had the money to repurchase it again and I had some other mascara’s that needed to be tested laying around. I did have a couple of mini’s but those are dried out by now. It’s really sad that that happened because I’m pretty sure that when I repurchase it again, I’ll be in love all over again. So I guess it’s about time to just go ahead and get it already. I have missed this little guy for so long now. It’s time to finally reunite!
Next up is a blush that I haven’t completely lost track of, but I do use it way less than I should and than I used to. I’m talking about the MAC Mineralized Blush in Dainty. This was my firs and is my only MAC blush. I didn’t really think it through when I bought it. The makeup artist at MAC told me that this was their most sold blush and that it’s the product people get when they first get a blush from MAC. I believed her and bought it. And I do agree with what she said. It’s a very universally flattering shade and it’s very unique. It’s something you can’t find at a drugstore and that’s a very important thing to me when I’m getting a more expensive blush.
However, I’m someone who forget really easily about their blushes. I’m okay with using one everyday or maybe alternate between two options. And this one got forgotten in that battle. Whenever I do use it I actually really like the look of it and I really want to remember to use it. So that’s what I’ll have to do now. I tried putting it in my daily favourites drawer but that wasn’t enough. I’m putting it on my desk right now!
Moving on to another MAC thingy, their lipsticks. A couple of years ago MAC lipsticks were like ‘the dream’ for me. I didn’t have a lot at the time and they seemed like the best thing in the world. I ended up collecting a lot of them and I did wear and love them a whole lot. They were the only thing I used and I was totally living for the hype around them. From reds to nudes, I had a ton of gorgeous shades.
However, after a while I stopped using them. I started trying lipsticks from brands like Dior, Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent and realised that they are in fact better in terms of quality. Well, at least in the way they feel on the lips. I just love that really creamy and moisturising feeling. But just because those lipsticks are better doesn’t mean that the MAC ones aren’t pretty enough to wear. I mean, can you remember how much I loved MAC Peach Blossom? It was my holy grail! I really do want to get back into those lipsticks!
Becca Backlight Priming Filter
The last product I once loved and totally want to rediscover is the Becca Backlight Priming Filter. This was a very, very popular product a couple of months ago. Everyone used it and loved it and so did I. At first I thought I wouldn’t love it that much because I do have oily skin. However, sooner than later I realised that it’s actually really pretty, even on oily skin. It really lights up your complexion and makes you look radiant and healthy. That’s something that I do really need these days if I’m being completely honest with you guys.
So why did I forget about it? I honestly don’t know anymore. I don’t know what happened to it. It’s not like I didn’t love it anymore. I actually did. I just started using other things. I have about half a bottle of it left and I’m for sure going to start using that again. I’m going to put these things on my desk from now on so I can never forget about it anymore. How can such a pretty product be forgotten?!
With that being said I think I’ve covered everything I wanted to in today’s post. Thank you so much for reading and be sure to let me know what makeup products you used to love and want to rediscover!
