Since 2014 Pixi has been one of my favourite brands. I really like their style, the quality of their products is amazing and they are reasonably priced. Today I’m going to review another Pixi product, the Lid Last Shadow Pen. If you’re interested in finding out more about this gorgeous pencil eyeshadow, make sure you keep on reading!
The Pixi Lid Last Shadow Pen comes in a really cute green box which is made out of a very special feeling material. Inside this box you’ll find the pencil itself. It’s pretty thick and it’s just like the box, green. The details on the pencil itself are in the same colour as the product. The shade I have is gold, so the details on my pencil are gold. I really like the look of that!
There are quite a lot of shades available from this range, but the one I have is in my opinion by far the prettiest. It’s a very pretty shimmery gold colour that goes by the name Gentle Gold.
Gentle Gold is, to me, the perfect eyelid shade. It’s not too dark, but it’s not too light either. I really like using it on days when I look really tired and I want to cover that up with makeup. It really awakens your appearance. It’s also a great product to use as a base underneath your powder eyeshadows. That’s my favourite way to use it. I do have to say that I prefer using cream shadows (like the ones that come in a jar) for that instead of this pencil, but it does do a great job at it.
But aside from using it as a base this pencil is great for those days when you’re in a hurry. Or for those of you who don’t like spending a lot of time on doing their makeup. You can just sweep it all over the lid, apply one in a darker shade in the crease, blend it a little bit and you’re good to go!
Pigmentation wise this pencil is not disappointing either. It’s not the most pigmented thing in the world, but it has enough pigmentation in order to show up. It’s also very easy to blend, which is a great thing and it’s not too sticky. I think it’s a very easy to use product and I enjoy using it.
Staying power wise it does a pretty good job. It holds up pretty well throughout the day, especially when you use a powder eyeshadow on top.
Overall I think the Pixi Lid Last Shadow Pen is a great product. I have to say that it’s not something I gravitate towards too often, but that has more to do with personal preference than with the quality of this pencil. If you’re looking for a great quick and easy product to add a little bit extra to your makeup, I highly recommend giving this a try!
The Pixi Lid Last Shadow Pen is available at Feelunique.com for €16,20.
That was it for today’s review. I hope you enjoyed reading it and let me know if you like using pencil eyeshadows!
