Philosophy Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Foaming Cleanser

25/08/2017

Philosophy is quite a famous brand, especially because of their amazing skincare products. One of their most famous products is the Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Cleanser For Face And Eyes. I’ve heard so much about it and pretty much everything I’ve ever heard about it was extremely positive. It was supposed to be the best cleanser ever and since my skin was acting up lately I felt like it was time for me to try it. So I bought it, tested it and today it’s time for the review. If you’re interested in finding out whether or not this Purity Made Simple cleanser is actually as great as people claim it to be, make sure you continue reading!

So, let’s start off with packaging. I feel like all the packagings Philosophy creates are just amazing. They are clean, simple, elegant but they look professional. They look like they know what they’re doing and they just make the product look even more amazing. I like how on the front it tells us quite a lot about the product and I like the font that they’re using. I’m also a fan of the cap which you have to pop open by pushing on one side. Another thing I like about it is that the plastic of the bottle isn’t too hard so you can easily squeeze some product out of the bottle. It might be weird that I’m saying this but I have a shower gel from Philosophy and lord it is hard to get some product out of that little bottle!

The only big down side to this is that it’s small. The bottle is quite small. It only comes with 240 ml and even though that might seem like a normal amount, I think that you get really little product for the amount of money you have to pay in order to get this bottle. Of course if it’s really as amazing as people claim it is it might be totally worth it, but I actually do expect to get more product if I pay that amount of money for some facial soap.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Cleanser for face and eyes – €24,35

On the back of the bottle Philosophy tells us about this product and what it’s supposed to do. They say it’s a 3-in-1 cleanser that is formulated for all skin types. They say that it replaces your makeup remover, eye makeup remover, facial cleanser and toner. It also deep cleanses your pores and it also hydrates as it melts away makeup. In my opinion it sounds a little too good to be true, especially because I don’t think one product can do exactly the same as three products can. And if it could you would need a heck of a lot of product to do so, and since this is rather expensive I won’t be wanting to do that.

Anyway, the part that I absolutely agree with is the part where they say it’s hydrating. This is a very unique product. The texture feels really soft and silky and you can feel that it’s going to be hydrating. Not that it feels greasy, but you can just feel that creaminess in the product. I really like that, especially since I do struggle with extremely dry feeling skin after showering or cleansing my skin in general.

I personally don’t think using this product on its own is enough to cleanse your entire skin thoroughly. It might be if you don’t wear that much makeup, but if you do like to wear a full face you’re going to have to use something else. I personally like taking off my makeup before using this with either a bit of cleanser like Bioderma or with a face wash. I like to do that beforehand because I feel like if you use this afterwards you’ll get a lot more benefit out of this product. After pre-cleansing my skin I use this Purity Made Simple cleanser with my Visapure and I can definitely tell that it does an amazing job at removing that excess product that is still left on my skin.

Another thing I can feel is that it does amazingly well at making my skin feel really nice and clean but also at conditioning my skin in a way. Because of the hydrating aspect it makes my skin feel so nice and soft, like I’ve used conditioner on it. I really like that about this cleanser!

The pore-cleansing part isn’t a lie either. I’ve really noticed that the large pores on my nose have been a lot less visible lately and the amount of blackheads has decreased tremendously. My entire skin just feels so much more smooth ever since I started using this and I like that. Of course part of the results are due to me starting to use a Visapure, but the combination of the two products is just amazing.

Like I mentioned I usually don’t use this product as a first step nowadays, but I have done it a couple of times just to see how well it would remove my makeup. And even though I still think you have to use something else along with it because it’s just not enough on its own, I do think it did a great job at removing the makeup. It really melted away the makeup, just like they describe it does, and that’s a really nice thing. I feel like that’s a way softer and milder way to remove the makeup and my skin appreciates it a lot.

The last thing I want to let you guys know is that this product hasn’t caused any breakouts on my skin. If anything it actually managed to calm my skin down a little bit. It’s such a nice and mild product. Because of that it’s great for both acne-prone skin but also for sensitive skin because it really is very nice and gentle.

Overall I’ve become quite a big fan of this Philosophy Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Cleanser. I was quite skeptical about it at first because it is an expensive product and it is very hyped, but this product really lives up to the hype. It’s such an amazing cleanser and it’s so gentle to the skin. It’s one of the most amazing and most genius products I’ve ever used and I’m sure I’ll keep on using this products for many more years. It’s amazing!

And that basically concludes today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know if you have ever used this cleanser and if so, let me know how you like it!
