Recently I bought the Philosophy Falling In Love Shower Gel and that actually made me fall in love with Philosophy shower gels. Therefore, when I ran into this one, the Dance Of The Dew Drop Fairy Shower Gel, I had to buy it. I couldn’t smell it in store because the opening was covered with some sort of protecting thingy, but I was sure it was going to smell pretty darn good. I ended up taking it home and I’ve been using it almost every single day since. In today’s post I’m going to tell you guys all about it and I’ll let you guys know whether or not it’s worth the price. If you’re interested in reading about all that, make sure you continue reading!
The Philosophy Dance Of The Dew Drop Fairy Shower Gel comes in a very standard Philosophy-like packaging. I feel like Philosophy really set the trend for these gorgeous adorable packagings with a cute little story on them. I love the look of that and I love the font they used. I also think the little Christmas tree on the side made out of little images is just too cute. It makes this shower gel feel really, really Christmassy. I also love the lid on these packaging. These are the ones you flip up. It doesn’t make any difference in terms of quality, but it does add something positive to the experience in my opinion.
Another thing I love about the look of the shower gel is actually the colour of the product. The shower gel has a very pretty lilac colour and it looks very pearly. The pearl effect makes it look like a very expensive, luxury product and I totally dig that look.
All in all I think that the Philosophy Dance Of The Dew Drop Fairy comes in a stunning packaging. I like the simplicity of it and the little details. I’m also a big fan of the little stories they print on their bottles and the colour of the product itself. I also think that the size of the bottle is very generous, it comes with 480 ml of product which will last you for months!
Philosophy Dance Of The Dew Drop Fairy Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath – €20
Like I said I couldn’t smell the scent of this shower gel in store, so it was a bit of a gamble whether or not it was going to be a scent for me. When I got home from shopping I obviously immediately opened up the bottle and gave it a sniff. My lord you guys, this stuff smells amazing. Remember how I told you that the colour of the shower gel makes it seem like it has some kind of pearl in it, well, you can smell that too. Even though this shower gel is aimed at the holiday season, I do think it’s a pretty fresh and kind of sweet scent, rather than the warm scent you might expect. The pearl adds the sweetness to it and it also has something luxurious to it. It’s very hard to describe because it doesn’t smell of anything, just luxury and pearls.
This product actually isn’t just a shower gel. It can also be used as a shampoo and for a bubble bath. However, when I was testing the Falling In Love shower gel, which also was a 3-in-1, I found out I did not like this at all for washing hair. Therefore I didn’t try that with this product. If you have really easy hair it might work for you, but if your hair is thin and oily like mine, stay away from it.
In terms of shower gel I do think this is a really nice product. I can’t say that it’s the most unique shower gel in the world, but because of the gorgeous scent I do really enjoy using it. I feel like a little bit of this shower gel goes a long way, especially when you’re using a shower puff/loofah. It makes my body feel clean and it makes me smell nice. The scent doesn’t linger super long, but it is strong enough to enjoy right after taking your shower.
All in all I really enjoy the Philosophy Dance Of The Dew Drop Fairy Shower Gel. I think that the smell is totally up my alley and in terms of quality it’s really nice as well. I do think that there are a lot more affordable shower gels out there that smell just as amazing, but if you do have a bit more money to spend and you want to get a really nice shower gel, this is definitely one I’d recommend.
With that being said it’s already time to end today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it, and be sure to let me know what you think of this shower gel or of Philosophy shower gels in general!
