For the past 5 or 6 years my signature scent has been Chloe. The signature Chloe scent. I initially wanted to write about my favourite perfumes for spring, but I quickly realised I was only going to talk about Chloe perfumes anyway so I decided to turn things around and write a post all about my love for Chloe perfumes. So, if you’re interested in finding out why I love the scent so much and which ones I have, make sure you continue reading!
How I fell in love with Chloe
So, let’s start off by telling how I fell in love with these scents anyway. It was a long, long time ago. I think I was about 12 years old. I went to the mall with my best friend every week and we always hopped by Douglas where we would smell all of their luxury perfumes. The perfumes we absolutely loved, but knew we would never own because of the incredibly large price tag.
One day we came across this perfume that just blew our minds. It smelled so incredibly good. It probably was the most gorgeous smelling thing I had ever smelled at the time. It was Chloe, the signature Chloe scent. I knew I would never actually own it because for a 12-year-old it is an incredibly expensive product. But luckily a couple year later I did manage to buy it. And ever since then, I’ve been using it non-stop.
My first bottle of Chloe
So, this was my first bottle of Chloe. The signature Chloe scent, the 30 ml version. When I bought it I didn’t realise it would look as small as it does because the sample in store was a lot bigger. Because of that I didn’t think it would last me that long because if it’s a perfume you wear on a daily basis, and it’s only 30 ml, it usually won’t last you for as long as it has lasted me. I have had this perfume for over 5 years now and it’s still not gone.
The reason for that is that it’s quite a strong perfume. I only use one, maybe two when I’m feeling funky, spritzes and that’s enough. I always like to spray it on my clothes so when I wear that piece of clothing again the next day you still smell it.
See by Chloe
About a year or two later I purchased my second bottle of perfume by Chloe. This time I bought one that smells quite different than the usual Chloe perfumes, but still really nice. It’s called See by Chloe. It also comes in a different bottle. Instead of the classic rectangular bottle this comes in a bottle shaped like a bird cage. That might be a weird way to describe it, but it’s what I think of when I look at it.
For a long time I really liked it, but then I stopped using it. A couple of months ago I started wearing it again and I fell in love with it all over again. It’s a lot fresher and more prominent scent than the signature Chloe perfume is. It’s a lot more summery too. But all together it’s a gorgeous perfume and I like it a lot!
Chloe Fleur de Parfum
Back in October Chloe launched a new perfume called Fleur de Perfume. From the moment I saw the ad and got a sample of it I knew. I knew I had to buy it. I’m a huge fan of floral smelling things so this would be the perfect scent for me. I went to the store with my mom, debated for a long time whether or not to get it and just when I cut the cord and decided I would go for it, it was out of stock.
Luckily they did still have it online so I ordered it and obviously fell in love with it. It does smell really similar to the signature scent, but it has a more florally nuance. If you’re not a big Chloe fan like I am you probably wouldn’t really care for it that much and you probably won’t buy it if you already have the signature scent, but I love it. It’s my favourite!
Having discussed everything about my first experience with Chloe to each of the perfumes I got, let’s quickly talk about what’s next. Cause obviously this isn’t the end for me.
One of the scents that is on my wishlist is Roses de Chloe. It’s one of the perfumes I considered buying instead of Fleur de Parfum and it’s incredible. I love, love, love the scent of roses so it’s the perfect version for me. I don’t know when it’s going to be added to my collection, but I’m sure it won’t take too long anymore.
And that pretty much sums up today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it
and be sure to let me know which perfume you love!
