October Favourites: Fenty Beauty, Chanel, Tarte & MORE!

01/11/2017

Today it’s the first of November which means October is officially over. October is my favourite month of the year because it’s my birthday month and also because I have tried a lot of new products this months. I’ve also been very busy with school the past couple of weeks and with social activities so even though I had a lot to test and even though I’ve tried a lot my mind hasn’t been on makeup as much as it normally is. However, I have discovered a ton of amazing products and a lot of products I’ve fallen in love with so today I’m going to share those with you. If you’re interested in finding out which products I’ve fallen in love with throughout the month of October, make sure you continue reading!

Let’s start off with Fenty Beauty since that has been one of the high points of my month when it comes to makeup. One of my best friends told me that Rihanna had launched her own makeup collection and that day we ended up ordering a couple of items. Not much later I bought some more products and I’ve been testing them all month. I have to say that so far I’ve loved all of the Fenty products I’ve used, but I obviously have to be very strict when it comes to choosing my favourites, so the products I ended up loving the most are the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Lip Luminizer and the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer.

I never thought I would love a lipgloss as much as I love this Gloss Bomb by Fenty but it’s really true. It’s just the most comfortable lipgloss in the whole entire world. It’s so soft and it’s the opposite of sticky. Aside from that I just really love the colour, it looks so flattering, and I’m just impressed by the amazing quality of it.

The same thing goes for the primer, I had no idea that a primer could be this special but it really is. It’s just a very unique primer because it has such a different texture as most primers have. It’s very soft and smooth and it feels very hydrating. It’s also more of a lotion rather than a silicone-like primer and that’s a big plus for me as well.

Moving on to a very budget proof product. A while ago Essence launched a limited edition called Coast ‘n Chill and one of the products from this limited edition were these lightening drops. I always struggle with finding the right foundation shade so it seemed like a great product for me to try. I didn’t really know what to expect because there are a lot of uneffective lightening drops on the market, but to my surprise these work incredible.

Thanks to these Essence Lightening Drops I can wear my too dark foundations again and that means a lot to me. What I really like about this product is that it does alter the shade of the foundation but it doesn’t alter the texture of it. This way the foundation stays exactly the same as it has always been, but it’s just a tad bit lighter. I absolutely love it!

Moving on to two skincare favourites. First of all I’ve been using the Vichy Idealia Radiance Activating Night Peeling. I actually won this bottle which I’m really thankful for. Anyway, this stuff is incredible. I’ve used it everyday, without fail, for the past two months. It’s just an amazing skincare product. It smells absolutely incredible and it makes my skin feel and look so much smoother. It really brings back the radiance to my skin and gets rid of the texture on my skin. I really love this product!

My other skincare favourite of the month is the Origins Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturiser form the Ginzing collection. I have gone through two travel-size jars of this in the past already and recently I decided to buy a new jar. This time I bought an XL-jar with 75ml of moisturiser and I’m so glad I decided to do that. This is the best lightweight moisturiser in the world. It smells absolutely incredible, it sinks into the skin very quickly and it adds the perfect amount of moisture to my skin. It’s amazing!

Next up are two foundation favourites, both from Chanel. Let’s start off with an old cult favourite, the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation. This has been one of the most popular foundations for years and it’s definitely one of Chanel’s most popular makeup products. Until a while ago I had never tried it, but recently I finally bought it and I’m so glad I decided to do that. It’s a rather natural looking foundation but it also provides the right amount of coverage for my skin. It has a very pretty yellowy undertone which is very flattering in my opinion. Overall it’s just a very easy to work with and naturally perfect foundation. I really like it!

The other foundation is from the Chanel Les Beiges collection. I actually haven’t heard too much about it, but since I love Chanel foundations I was willing to give it a try. It’s another very natural looking foundation with, again, just the right amount of coverage. It looks perfectly natural and it stays looking perfectly natural all day. It’s definitely one of my go-to foundations on days I just want a little bit of coverage but I do want to keep things natural. This foundation is just perfect for that. Aside from that I also think the shade matches me perfectly!

Moving on to the last two products. The first one the Tarte Blush Bliss Palette. It’s from their Christmas collection and it’s fairly new in my collection, but I’ve literally used it every single day since I got it which is why I did want to include it in this post. It’s a gorgeous blush palette with four very pretty blushes ranging from very peachy colours to bright pink shades and from matte blushes to shimmery ones. There’s a little bit of everything in here which makes it the perfect blush palette. The pigmentation of the blushes is just incredible and I love the way they look on my skin! This is by far my favourite purchase of the month!

My last October favourite is this Nars Illuminating Blush in the shade Hot Sand. I bought it a while ago because I thought it looked very pretty and it turned out to be one of my favourite highlighters of all time. It’s such a versatile colour, it looks good with every single look I create and I love how it’s not too intense but not too settle either. It’s absolutely stunning!

And that’s everything I have for today. I hope you enjoyed reading about my October favourites and be sure to let me know which products you’ve been loving throughout the month of October!
