It’s time for another skincare review. Today I’m going to be reviewing the Nuxe Gentle Toning Lotion. I received this in my January LF Beauty Box and I was very excited to give it a try. This Spring I’m going to France, and Nuxe is quite a popular brand over there. Therefore I thought it was really great that I could give one of their products a try already so I know what to get when I’m there. Anyway, enough rambling. Let’s move on to the review!
First things first, the packaging. Before I jump into anything let’s keep in mind that this is a mini size of the actual product. The packaging of the original product is pretty similar when it comes to design, but it’s a lot bigger. The packaging overall is very simple and basic. The bottle has a bit of a rosy tint to it and the lid is just white. The bottle is decorated with the logo of the brand and with a ton of text.
The bottle I have contains 35 ml and therefore it’s the perfect size for on the go. When you buy the full size product you get 200 ml.
On the back of the bottle Nuxe gives us a bit more information about this product. It says that it soothes, refrehsehs and completes makeup removal. It’s mild and refreshing and perfect for sensitive, dry and/or normal skin. So basically it’s just a very mild toner that works great on all skin types and even on sensitive skin.
When I read that this toner claims to be very mild, I got interested. Every toner I have ever tried has been quite harsh and drying. Even those who claimed to be mild and softening. Because of that experience I wasn’t quite sure whether or not I should believe this would work, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt.
I have to say that I was quite surprised by how soft this toner is. It doesn’t feel like any of the other toners I have ever tried at all. It actually reminds me a bit of rose water. It feels very soft and calming and it has a bit of a silky feel to it. It’s very hard to describe, but I hope that this vague description makes a bit of sense.
When it comes to doing what it’s supposed to do: removing the last bits and pieces of makeup, I’m positive. Most mild toners aren’t that good at actually taking off makeup because they are way too mild, but this actually does a great job. Whenever I have a bit of mascara left under my eyes after cleansing my skin I always go for this and it always manages to make my skin and clean as it should be.
Overall I’m really happy I got to try this little toner. It works great for my skin. It’s very mild and soft and it just feels good on the skin. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling dehydrated or painful, and it also does a great job at removing the last bits and pieces of makeup. Overall It’s a great product and therefore I highly recommend giving it a go if you get the chance to!
The Nuxe Gentle Toning Lotion is available at Lookfantastic for €16,95.
That was it for today’s review. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know which toner is your current favourite!
XOXO, Nicole.
Ik heb geen ervaring met dit merk, maar het ziet er mooi uit en klinkt goed!
