I really love makeup. I love bright makeup, I love dark makeup, but I especially love nude/neutral makeup. With that I don’t mean ‘no-makeup makeup’, but just nude colours. Because I love them so much I decided to dedicate a post to nude makeup and share some of my favourite pieces with you guys. If you love nude makeup too, or if you’re just interested in finding out which pieces are my favourite, make sure you continue reading!
Let’s start of with some face makeup. When I want to go for something really natural looking, I usually go for a Dior foundation. My current favourite is the Diorskin Nude foundation. This one does provide quite a lot of coverage, but because of the dewy finish it looks really natural and real.
If I want to get an even more natural look I like to apply the Becca Backlight Priming Filter underneath. This primer has a sheen to it which makes your skin look more radiant and healthy. Aside form that it also turns any foundation into something a lot more natural and realistic. I really like it because of that.
For brows I usually go with the Benefit Goof Proof Brow pencil if I want things to look good but natural. This shade is really close to the actual colour of my brows and because of the slanted tip it’s a lot easier to fill in your brows without overdoing it. It’s one of the quickest and easiest but also most natural brow options I have.
To finish it off I like using the Inglot Brow Shaping Gel. This has a slight tint to it and it has a very natural finish to it. On days I want to go for an extra natural look I even use this on its own. That works great as well.
For blush I like going for something pink on natural days. I also really like peachy blushes, but I feel like pink looks the most natural on me. These three are my favourites when it comes to that. The first one is by MAC and it’s one of their mineralized blushes in the shade Dainty.
Another one of my favourite nude blushes is Isadora by Nars. I believe it’s from their Sarah Moon collection. This can look like you have a rash on your cheeks if you’re too generous with it, but if you use a light hand it could look really pretty and natural. I really like it!
The last blush is by Tarte. It’s in the shade Genius. It’s a very pretty matte old pink shade and it’s the perfect shade for everyday. I think that this one is actually my favourite out of the three!
For lips I also have some favourites. first of all I really enjoy using the Labello Care & Colour lipbalm in the shade red. Even though it seems to be a bright red lip product, it actually looks really pretty and natural on the lips and to top that all of it also feels very moisturising.
My other favourite lip product for natural days is obviously my YSL lipstick in the shade Beige Blouse. This is the most perfect lipstick shade in the entire world and I think that everyone who is into natural makeup should have this in their collection. It’s stunning!
And that pretty much concludes today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know which nude products you really love using!
XOXO, Nicole.
