Ever since I started doing makeup, eyeshadow has been my favourite part. Therefore my eyeshadow collection is rather big and always growing. I have to admit that back in the day I did experiment a lot more than I do these days. But that’s mostly due to the fact that I have very little time in the morning to do my makeup and I’m super tired when I wake up. But even though the time is limited, I do wear eyeshadow everyday I wear makeup, so I do have a couple of go-to’s. If you’re interested in finding out which palettes I reach for the most, make sure you continue reading this post!
Because I have used the Stila Eyes Are The Window Palette in Soul for so long and because I’ve mentioned it a million times by now, I’m not going to include it as one of the three palettes. That’d be boring, considering the fact that you guys know by now that I love that palette.
Therefore my first favourite and go-to eyeshadow palette is the Dior Couture Colours & Effects Eyeshadow Palette that I got from my boyfriend a couple of years ago. If this isn’t one of the prettiest palettes you have ever seen, look again. It’s such a versatile and wearable palette. You can use it for subtle day-time looks, but it also works for night-time looks as well!
The shades in this palette are all very fine and unique and I’m sure you won’t find them anywhere else. And to top that all off, the quality of these shadows is just amazing. You just have to read the review. Or at least look at the swatch pictures in that review. You’ll be mesmerised, I’m telling ya!
The second go-to eyeshadow palette of mine is a more recent purchase. I bought this last Black Friday and it’s the Nars x Erdem Strange Flowers Fleur Fatale Eyeshadow Palette. First off al the packaging on this palette is just incredible. It’s so unique, it’s different and it’s adorable. I really love the look of it. And it comes with a mirror on the inside, which is always a plus in my book!
The palette itself is very diverse if you ask me. It comes with six really pretty and wearable shades, but it might not be the first thing you expect to find in a rather natural eyeshadow palette. That’s one of the main reasons why I didn’t intend on buying it at first. But lord did I know this was going to be such a pretty palette. The shimmer in some of these shades is just to die for and the cranberry colour is amazing!
The quality of these shadows is, again, to die for. Like really. This is some serious quality eyeshadow. The pigmentation is amazing, but they are also very blendable and easy to work with. The formula is super soft and creamy and it’s just everything you’d ever want to find in a palette!
My last go-to eyeshadow palette is an even more recent purchase. This is my Chanel Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow in 226 Tissé Rivoli. Because I did read mixed reviews on Chanel eyeshadow palettes it took me some time to decide I was going to buy one and see how I like it for myself. And in the end I’m really happy I eventually decided to buy one of these pretty Chanel eyeshadow palettes because it is everything!
The shades in this palette are just perfect for me. They are very neutral and light. The over all vibe of this palette is a lot more neutral and light compared to the other two palettes I’ve shown you already. But you know, sometimes I like to go a little more light on my eyeshadow looks. It’s a thing.
These shadows have a really nice formula. They are baked, which creates a whole different look on the eyes. They apply very easily, they are pigmented and easy to blend. They are really nice colours and I use them all of the time! I’m really impressed by it.
All in all I have three really amazing eyeshadow palettes I gravitate towards most of the time. They are all quite small palettes, ranging from four shadows to six, but that works really well for me. Even though these are all quite neutral eyeshadow palettes, they are all very different from each other in my opinion, and I’m really in love with all three of them!
With that being said I’m ending today’s post. Thank you so much for reading it and be sure to let me know what you think of my three staple eyeshadow palettes and let me know which palettes you love the most!
