Eyeshadow has always been one of my favourite makeup products. I just really love being creative with it. Or not being creative with it and just wearing it like I do everyday. Anyway, over the years I have collected a ton of eyeshadows. These days I don’t have as much time as I used to, so more often than not I gravitate towards the same couple of palettes. That could definitely be a bad thing, considering the fact I have so many. But it also means that the ones I do gravitate towards almost always are very, very good. So, it seemed like a great idea to me to share my go-to eyeshadow palettes for everyday with you guys. So if you want to know which palettes are the best of the best in my opinion, make sure you continue reading!
The first palette I want to discuss is the one you have heard me talk about over and over again. It’s the Stila Eyes Are The Window Eyeshadow Palette in Soul. I have had this for years and years and recently I even repurchased it. It’s just the perfect everyday neutral palette to me. The palette comes with tons of natural shades ranging from shimmers to mattes. There’s everything in there that you need and more. The best part is that you have a lot of options in there, so even if you use this palette everyday, you won’t end up wearing the same look every single day.
I think that this eyeshadow palette is perfect for literally everyone. Whether you’re just a beginner and starting off with eyeshadow, or you’re already a pro. This palette comes in handy for everyone. It’s so versatile and the quality of the shadows in amazing. I’m a really big fan of this palette and I don’t get why it’s not the worlds most hyped palette just yet.
There are three other versions of this palette as well. One with all matte shades, another shimmer one and another slightly more colourful one. I have tried the other shimmery version too, called Spirit. I think that’s a great option to, but for me personally I think Soul is a little better.
Moving on to the second palette that has stolen my heart. It’s the Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Eyeshadow Palette. It’s another stunning palette filled with the perfect neutral eyeshadows for everyday wear. It’s another palette that I’ve been loving for so long. Just like the Stila palette, this one has a mixture of shimmers and mattes. It also comes with a lot of shades so there are enough options in there to change your look up every now and then. It might look like a very basic palette, but it is really versatile and definitely an essential in my eyeshadow palette collection.
My favourite thing about this Tarte palette is the fact that the quality of the eyeshadows is so incredibly nice. The shadows have the best texture ever. They are incredibly rich and smooth. In general I think these eyeshadows are just a dream to work with and by far one of the best shadows ever.
Again, this Tartelette palette comes in a couple different versions. There’s an all matte version and not too long ago they also launched the Tartelette Toasted. I have tried the Toasted palette as well and it’s a bit warmer toned than this one. I personally love more bronzy shades so therefore my love goes to the Tartelette in Bloom. But if you’re more of a burned orange kinda gal, the Toasted might be a better fit.
Next up are two Dior eyeshadow palettes. Dior is my favourite brand in the whole wide world so it isn’t a big surprise that some of their palettes belong in my absolute favourites. The first one is the one I got from my boyfriend. He bought this for me all by himself without me influencing him. How impressive is that?! Anyway, this is the Dior Couture Colours & Effects Eyeshadow Palette in the shade Cuir Cannage. It’s a very pretty smokey palette with a nice purple colour. This is something I really have to keep myself from using it everyday because I just don’t want it to run out too fast. But with this palette I can create the perfect smokey-ish everyday looks and I love it. The quality of the palette is just phenomenal.
The other Dior palette I gravitate towards a lot is the cool neutrals version of the Dior Backstage Eyeshadow Palette. This is a palette I haven’t had as long as the other eyeshadow palettes I have mentioned. But that doesn’t make it less of a favourite. Even though this seems like a very compact palette, it comes with a lot of options and variety. I think it’s perfect for everyday wear and I like that it’s a little different. The pinks and purple shades make it more unique, while still being very wearable. I really like that about it.
All in all I have quite a couple of palettes I do gravitate towards rather often. There are definitely some other palettes I use a lot as well, like the original Urban Decay Naked Palette and the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. But I don’t use them as much as the four palettes I mentioned today.
Anyway, that’s it for now. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and be sure to let me know which palettes you gravitate towards on a daily basis
