Skincare is the base of my beauty routine and throughout the years the importance of skincare in my routine has grown and grown. Back in the day I didn’t really care that much about what I was smearing onto my face, but nowadays I only use a small collection of products that I know work for me. Throughout the years I’ve tried and tested a lot of brands, but there are still many skincare brands I’d love to discover. Therefore I wanted to share some of my favourite skincare brands with you guys today, and a couple of brands that I’d love to discover sometime soon. If you’re interested in finding out which skincare brands have caught my attention and which ones are already favourites, make sure you continue reading this post!
I believe it has been about 3 years since I discovered the brand Origins. I once bought a mini size of their GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturiser and I completely fell in love with that. From the packaging to the scent of it, I loved everything about it. This made me want to try much more from the Origins skincare range. Sadly, so far the only product I have actually tried is that GinZing moisturiser. I have repurchased it about 3 times by now, but that’s it.
So, Origins is a brand that I already love, yet a brand that I want to discover. A product that I really would love to try from their range is for example their Balancing Toner. It just seems like a great product to me. I’m also really curious about their GinZing Tinted Moisturiser. I really want to know what that is like!
Another brand I have loved for quite some time now is Clinique. I feel like Clinique is such an amazing brand when it comes to skincare. Don’t get me wrong, I love their makeup as well, but I mainly love them for their skincare. Their Take The Day Off cleansers are just incredible, but my all time favourite Clinique product is, and will always be, their Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel. That stuff is just the best I have ever tried. It is moisturising and smoothening and it doesn’t make my skin feel oily at all. It sinks in within a split second and it makes my makeup go on much smoother. I just love every single thing about this moisturiser!
Moving on to another big favourite, Vichy. Vichy has been my favourite skincare brands for years now. Along with the brand I’ll mention after this, this was my first skincare brand ever. My favourite range from Vichy is by far their Normaderm collection. Back in the day I always struggled with oily skin and the products from this collection always helped me to keep the oil under control and not to break out too much. These products also smell incredible and especially the moisturiser from the range is incredible.
About a year ago, maybe a little shorter than that, I discovered the Idealia Night Peeling. This quickly became a favourite of mine as well. I use it every single night before I go to bed and it really does do wonders for my skin. It keeps everything nice and soft and it makes my complexion look more even.
Along with Vichy, La Roche-Posay was one of the first skincare brands I discovered when I started using skincare. The first product I tried was the Duo Effeclar Moisturiser and I still use it to this day. It’s the most amazing moisturiser to use if you struggle with oily or blemished skin. It’s very lightweight, it sinks in within seconds and it really prevents my skin from breaking out. It’s an amazing product.
Not long after that I started to discover more products from the Effeclar collection like the foaming face wash. Today I’m also a big fan of their Hydraphase moisturiser. This is absolutely incredible as well!
Moving on to a brand I really want to discover. I’m talking about Estée Lauder. I have almost-bought one of their serums a million times now, but because they are so expensive I never really did it. Anyway, especially their serums really speak to me. I don’t know if it’s just the fancy design of the bottle or if it’s the name of the brand or actually the skincare benefits the serum will provide, but all in all they seem absolutely incredible. I can’t wait to try one of these serums sometime soon!
The last brand I want to mention in today’s post is Paula’s Choice. I have to admit that I haven’t heard anything but positive things about this brand. It isn’t the most pretty brand in terms of packagings, but I’m pretty sure that their products are actually incredible. I feel like Paula’s Choice has a lot of high-quality products with great ingredients that really help your skin to improve. I really hope that one day I finally decide on which product to try and actually order it!
That was pretty much it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and be sure to let me know which skincare brands you love and which ones you’d love to discover!
