I don’t remember exactly when I came up with this, but a while back I thought it might be fun to share my entire beauty routine with you guys. This means that I’m going to show you every single product I use from shower to lipstick (except toilet paper, that’s not too interesting is it?). So, let’s not ramble too much before we get into it because I’m guessing this is going to be a very, very long post. Anyway, if you’re interested in finding out which products I use to make myself look beautiful, well, let’s correct that, reasonable presentable, make sure you continue reading this post!
Let’s start off with the morning skincare routine, since that’s were we start our day off. The very first product I use in the morning is the Bioderma Sébium Solution Micellaire along with a cotton pad, to cleanse my skin. I have rather oily skin so this will get rid of the excess oil and create a clean and oil-free base for my makeup.
After doing that I follow up with my Biotherm Aquasource Deep Serum. I don’t use this every single day, but I do use it every other day. This is going to hydrate my skin without making it oily and it helps my skin to look a little less dull. It also smells incredibly nice so that’s a big plus as well.
Then I go in with my La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Intense Legere. This is the lighter version of the normal Hydraphase moisturiser and I think it’s great. The reason why I love it so much is because, again, it hydrates my skin without making it greasy. Even if you have oily skin you do need to keep hydrating your face. This product is great for doing that. I’m a huge fan of it.
After my moisturiser has sunken into my skin, I go in with makeup. Usually I start of with my Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Retouch Primer. I use one pump of this and spread it across my skin to create a nice base for the makeup that is going to be applied on top of it.
Then I apply my current favourite foundation, the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser Oil-Free. This is a great product for everyday since it isn’t very thick or heavy and the coverage is very natural, but it does do an amazing job at evening out my skin tone and creating a clean canvas for the rest of my makeup. It also has a great colour that compliments my skin really well and a stunning semi-dewy finish. I love the crap out of it!
When the foundation (or actually tinted moisturiser) is on, I go in with my Essence Colour Corrector in Pastel Pink. I put this underneath my eyes to cancel out the darkness. After that I do in with my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly to really cover up the dark circles underneath my eyes and other blemishes across my face. When I have some redness that the foundation didn’t cover, I cover it up with this as well.
To finish off the base I apply my beloved RCMA No-Colour Powder all over my face with a nice and fluffy brush. I also use it to bake my under eye area a little bit so the concealer stays in place better.
Then I move on to my brows. Using my rather new favourite brow product, the Soap & Glory Archery 2-in-1 Brow Sculpting Pencil & Setting Gel I fill in my brows and I also set them with the gel that comes with it. I’m not very good at this step so this is probably the most time consuming part of my routine. But generally speaking I’m quite pleased with the result it gives.
When my brows are all done I move on to eyeshadow. As a base I use my beloved Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On And On Bronze. When it comes to the shadow I use on top of that I have to say I switch it up quite regularly. My current favourite palette however is the Tarte Tartelette Toasted. It’s one of my newest products and I love it a lot.
To finish off the eyes I like to go in with my Nars Eyelash Curler and coat my lashes with my Chanel Dimensions De Chanel Mascara. This really is the best mascara in the whole entire world and I highly recommend getting it if you haven’t done so already!
After my mascara is on, I go back to my face. I like to use the Chanel Les Beiges Poudre Belle Mine Ensoleillée to bronze up my face and sculpt a little bit. I apply it using the brush that comes with it. It’s a very easy to use product and I just love the way it looks on my skin. I have been using it every single day since I got it and I can’t really go without it anymore.
To get that pretty flushed look on my cheeks I like to use this gorgeous Hourglass Ambient Lightning Blush I got from my boyfriend. It’s the prettiest blush in the world and it creates a gorgeous natural flush on your cheeks. It’s nothing too extreme, but it isn’t too subtle either. I really, really like it.
To finish off my cheeks I like to use the Chanel Le Signe Du Lion Highlighter. This is the perfect highlighter for everyday because it has the right amount of glow to it. It’s not too blinding, but blinding enough for my liking. I think it’s a really pretty product.
After applying that I’m done doing my makeup for the day and I go and eat, get dressed and brush my teeth. Right before I leave the house i usually pop on a lipstick. Nowadays I most often use the Chanel Coco Rouge Shine Lipstick in Boy or the Dior Addict Lip Glow in Berry.
When I’ve applied my lipstick I go and live my life like normal. Nothing special. I actually don’t really do any beauty related things throughout the day, so therefore the next step in my beauty routine is taking a shower. The first thing I do when I’m showering is washing my face. I like to start off with the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Mouse Purifante. I use this to get most of my makeup off, including my eye makeup.
Then I like to go in with my Visapure and a bit of the Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser. I really like this stuff. It’s a very soft and silky product that really cleanses the face without harming it. In combination with the Visapure I think it’s a great way to deep clean my skin for the night.
When I’m done with my Visapure I move on to hair. I start washing it using the Living Proof Repair Shampoo. It smells absolutely incredible and it does restore my hair pretty well. It’s not my favourite shampoo in terms of what it makes my hair look like, but I just really need the repair benefits of it and that it does well. Very well actually. On days I do want my hair to look fabulous I like to use the Guhl Shampoo for brown hair.
After washing it I apply some conditioner to the ends of my hair. With this step I also alter between two products, depending on the day. I either use my Living Proof Repair Conditioner or my Guhl Brown Hair Conditioner. There are some more conditioners in my collection that I love to use every now and then, but these are my most used products at the moment.
While my conditioner is working in I start shaving my body. I do this using my Balea Shaving Foam and a disposable razor by Albert Heijn. I’m not that fancy when it comes to that. After shaving I start brushing my teeth using my electric toothbrush and some toothpaste by Prodent.
When those two minutes are done I’ll wash my body using some kind of shower gel. I like to change up the one I use very regularly, but lately I’ve been loving the Caudalie Shower Gels a lot. These are definitely my favourite.
When I’ve covered my body in shower gel I turn around and rinse it off and at the same time I rinse the conditioner out of my hair. This is the last step in my shower routine.
When I step out of the shower I obviously dry myself and then I apply some deodorant. My favourite one to use at night is this roller one by Lady Speed Stick. In the morning I love to follow up with the stick version, but at night this feels better for me.
While the deo is sinking in I apply some body lotion or butter to my entire body. I also change up what I use for that very, very often, but my favourite products at the moment are these Body Creams by Rituals. They smell just absolutely incredible! Especially the limited edition ones work very well for me.
After letting that sink in for a second while I dry off the products I brought in the shower with me, I get dressed and move myself to my room.
When I’m in my room I start off with using some of the Vichy Idealia Peeling on my skin. I don’t use a lot of it, just a little bit to get my skin to feel nice and clean. When that’s sunken into my skin I follow up with a moisturiser, mostly the Vichy Normaderm night version. I’ve been in love with that lately.
Lastly I take my hair out of my towel and sometimes I decide to blow dry it before I go to bed so it will look better in the morning. On some days I don’t. It does depend on what my plans are for the next day.
And then I go to bed and the whole routine will start over again from the moment I wake up the next day!
So, that’s it. That’s my entire beauty routine from start to finish. I know it’s very elaborate, but I hope you enjoyed reading this post anyway. Thank you so much for reading and be sure to let me know what your beauty routine looks like!
