The LF Beauty Box of June was filled with absolutely incredible products. It’s by far my favourite LF Box so far and therefore I was very excited to review everything that came inside. Today it’s time for me to review the Monuspa Rosewood Reviving Mist. A nice little facial mist by an amazing skincare brand. So, without further ado, if you’re interested in finding out more about this product, make sure you continue reading!
The Monuspa Rosewood Reviving Mist comes in a white bottle with green details. It has a spray thingy on top and the one I have isn’t too big. That’s because I did get a travel size (since in came inside the LF Beauty Box). The full size version obviously is a lot larger, but packaging wise it’s the same thing.
Overall I think the packaging does look good. It’s not out of this world amazing, but it’s just a packaging of a face mist so how much does it even matter. I do think it looks very professional and like something they might use at beauty salons or places like that and I do like that about it. It really has that spa vibe to it.

Moving on to the product itself. This is a face mist. Face mists come in lots of different shapes and sizes and all are meant for different things. Therefore I always think it’s very important to carefully read what its purpose is before I spray it all over my face and completely ruin my makeup. This Rosewood Reviving Mist is very multifunctional. It’s great as a skincare product to give your skin a nice boost and make you feel refreshed, but it’s also a perfect product to fix your makeup with. Aside from that you can even use it on the rest of your body for a nice fragrance. If that’s not multifunctional, I don’t know what is anymore!
Normally I’d be most excited about the fact that you can use this as a fixing spray for your makeup, but to be honest I’m also very interested in the skincare effects. I only wouldn’t use it all over my body because I do think I have other products that are better for that purpose and it would be a waste of product to use this for that. So in short: I like using it as a skincare product to revive my skin but I also like using it as a makeup fixer.
The thing with fixing sprays is that the mist has to be very fine. Especially if you’re going to use it as a makeup fixing spray. If the mist is too watery it can actually move your makeup around and that’s just not what you want. I also think fine mists just feel better on the skin. And sadly this one doesn’t have an extremely fine mist. It’s not as wet as the Lush toners that come in spray bottles, but it’s not the finest mist I have ever felt. I have to say that in this case I don’t feel like it moves around my makeup too much, but I do think that it would’ve been even more amazing if the mist was a little more fine.
When it comes to the quality of the product I am very positive. I do have experience with this brand and the moisturiser I tried a while back was absolutely incredible so I did have high expectations when it comes to the quality of it. Sadly it didn’t let me down. Once you spray it on your face you can really feel that reviving aspect of it. It feels like your skin is getting a boost of vitamins and everything it ever needed and it’s completely good as new. It makes my skin feel and look very healthy and that’s just a really nice feeling.
As a makeup fixer it also does a great job. Like I said I do think it’s a little too wet, but aside from that I think it does a great job. It doesn’t move around my makeup when I spray it on, it doesn’t cause my mascara to smudge but it does really fixate my makeup and make it look a whole lot more natural. It really takes away that cakey or powdery effect and makes your skin look very healthy and just very natural. Like you’re naturally that beautiful.
Even though I do like that about it, I do think that if you’re really going for a matte face this might not be something you want to use because it does take away that powdery effect which also means that it takes away the oil-control factors of the powder (for the most part). Thanks to that your skin does look really nice and dewy, but if you’re really going for that matte look that might not be what you’re looking for.
Aside from a few little aspects I think this product is really amazing. Quality wise it’s just incredible. It makes my skin feel really nice and healthy and it’s a very refreshing product. Especially in the summer I think this will come in very handy. It’s not the best makeup fixer, but it does do a great job at it. And since it’s multifunctional it can also come in very handy as a skincare product on those days your skin just needs that extra boost!
And that’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and be sure to let me know if you ever use face mists and if you do, let me know which one is your absolute favourite!
XOXO, Nicole.
