Monthly Loves: My November Favourites!

01/12/2018

You guys it’s already the first of December! That means that November is over and that it’s time for another monthly favourites post. Because I bought a lot of new stuff at the end of October (and the beginning of November) I have been trying a lot of new things lately. That resulted in a lot of new favourite products. I also rediscovered a couple of things or fell in love with products I already owned but never noticed. Anyway, there is a lot to discuss in today’s post so let’s dive into it!

My first favourites are two Dior products. How can it not be Dior right? For my birthday my mom gifted me this gorgeous Dior Blush Brush. I had been eyeing these Dior brushes for a while now and now I finally have my first one. At first I was a bit surprised about the shape and the type of hair on it, but after using it every single day I came to realise that it’s actually really amazing. It’s a pretty dense brush and therefore I actually prefer using it for applying bronzer/contour. For blush you really have to have a light hand with this one. Anyway, the brush is super soft and has nice and flexible bristles. It applies my contour powder really evenly in a very, very stunning way. I love how it actually gets the pigment out of very low pigmented products! Gotta love that!

The next Dior item I’ve fallen in love with is this Dior Eye Reviver Eyeshadow Palette. I had been eyeing this palette for so long now since it seems to be the perfect basic everyday palette. I just couldn’t really spend the money on it because I already have so much. Until I saw it for 50% off at a drugstore in Amsterdam. This was a deal I couldn’t resist. I’ve been using it ever since and I’m so in love with it. It has everything you need for an everyday look but you can also go a little more dramatic with it. The quality of the shadows is really impressive and I love how easy it is for on the go. This literally is the perfect palette in my opinion!

Something I kind of rediscovered is the Urban Decay De-Slick Oil Control Setting Spray. I used to love this back in the day but a while ago that bottle went dry and I didn’t feel like spending the money on it again. However, recently I did it anyway and I couldn’t be happier. I haven’t had it back in my life for a very long time, but I love it even more than I used to. Nowadays I use it every single day and there’s such a big difference in my makeup thanks to that. My makeup lasts so much longer. Yesterday I actually walked through the rain for like 15 minutes and waited in the rain for another 10 minutes and when I came home at the end of the day my makeup was still fresh. I’m not saying in tact, it was fresh. Like I just applied it. I love this stuff so much! It’s so worth splurging on!

With that spray I also rediscovered something else. A foundation actually. This is the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Foundation. I bought this a while ago, loved it and then forgot about it. The shade match isn’t what I’d call perfect for me but I can get away with it. However, the thing about this foundation is that it’s just the most stunning thing ever. It’s so super natural looking but at the same time it does an incredible job at perfecting my skin. It evens it out, it adds this luxurious natural glow to it and it makes me look vibrant and young all day. I’m young so that might just be the age thingy, but I do feel that it enhances that.

When I went birthday shopping I bought two conditioners from The Body Shop and one shampoo on accident. The Banana shampoo didn’t end up being a huge favourite. I mean I like it but it’s just not super favourite material. However, the conditioners did impress me quite a bit. I bought the Strawberry Clearly Glossing Conditioner and the Fuji Green Tea Refreshingly Hydrating Conditioner. At first I had the highest hopes for the strawberry one, but to my surprise both conditioners really came through for me

The strawberry one has a really nice scent and actually makes my hair really nice and shiny. Both conditioners are silicone free and therefore they don’t weight my hair down and they don’t make my hair look greasy. The Fuji one is also really nice. I thought this wouldn’t be very hydrating since green tea thingies are more often than not more like refreshing or cleansing, but in fact it makes my hair look super nice and shiny as well and it also makes it feel really soft. I’m really positive about these two conditioners. Good job Body Shop!

Something I bought towards the middle of the month but that has quickly become a favourite of mine is the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette. One of my best friends bought it back when we went to Amsterdam and at that point I didn’t think I wanted to buy it since it was a bit too expensive in my opinion. But then it started to haunt me. It looked so flippin’ stunning on her and the shade was just too perfect. In the end I found it online for a better price and bought it anyway. I’m really, really impressed by it. Especially by the bronzer side of the palette. It’s pretty much the perfect shade for my skin tone!

My next favourite is a lip product. Or actually two lip products. One of them is a new discovery and the other one is actually a rediscovery that I made thanks to the new discovery. I’m talking about the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipsticks in Bonheur and Dialogue. Bonheur has been in my collection for a while now, but Dialogue is new to me. I bought this because I really like the formula on these lipsticks and I wanted to try new shades. It’s a very ‘wearable’ red colour since it’s a bit sheer and it’s so super comfortable to wear.

But one day when I wanted to put on Dialogue I accidentally pulled Bonheur out of my bag, put it on and only when I did that I realised it wasn’t Dialogue that I was using. I did really love the colour and I actually realised how pretty it is, which made me wear this more and more throughout the month.

Moving on to two very obvious favourites. These are my two Philosophy Shower Gels. When I went shopping in Rotterdam I bought this Philosophy Falling In Love Shampoo, Bath & Shower Gel. I instantly fell in love with it but only for the purpose of washing my body with it. The shampoo part didn’t strike me as amazing. However, the product in general is really nice. It has an amazing scent that is very soft and delicate. It’s just the perfect scent for everyday. It’s cozy, it’s nice but it’s nothing too powerful.

The other favourite is the Philosophy Dance Of The Dew Drop Fairy Shower Gel. I was debating on getting either this one or the Snow Angel one, but ended up getting this version. It smells very familiar to me. It smells like another shower gel I used to love to death. It’s a sweet and pearly scent. Not sweet like candy or in a cheap way, but pearly sweet. I know that doesn’t make sense but that’s exactly what this is. I’m really loving the scent and I use it a lot. I highly recommend checking this scent out! It’s worth it!

My last favourites of the month are all from Rituals. You know how I went a little wild at Rituals during my birthday shopping trip(s), well, I didn’t do all of it for nothing. I actually really fell in love with Rituals all over again. They have so many high-quality and amazing smelling products. Especially their body creams are totally my cup of tea. I bought the Ritual Of Yalda Body Cream, which is their winter limited edition. This one smells very luxurious and chic. It also has a really nice and smooth texture that makes my skin feel super comfortable.

The other one I bought is called The Ritual Of Anahata. I really love that one as well. It’s pretty much everything I want in a body cream in one. From the smell to the formula, it’s incredible!

The third one I bought and fell in love with is the Ritual Of Happy Buddha or something like that, the orange one. My boyfriend really isn’t a fan of this scent, and I have to say it is a very specific scent, but I do love it a lot. This is the one that has the strongest scent that lingers the most and I love that about it. It’s an amazing product!

And that’s it. Those were my favourites of the month November! I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and be sure to let me know which products were your favourites of the month November!
