Not too long ago Maxfactor came out with a new range of lip products called the Colour Intensifying Lipstick Balm which basically is a hydrating lipstick a.k.a. tinted lipbalm. I’m a huge tinted lipbalm fan so I had to try at least one of them. Today I’ll be reviewing it. If you’re interested, keep on reading!
The Maxfactor Colour Intensifying Lipstick Balm comes in this really slim but long tube. The bottom part is gold and the lid is clear. The little plastic thing around the balm is the same color as the balm itself. I don’t think it’s the most gorgeous packaging, but I do not hate it. It’s just basic and fine. The only thing that annoys me is that I can’t get that ugly sticker off the tube.
I bought the lipstick balm in the shade Charming Coral which is in my opinion the prettiest one available. Coral is one of my favorite colors, so I’m always happy to see coral lip products.
The coral color looks very orangy and bright in the tube. It might look like the most unwearable color ever, but in fact it’s not. That’s basically what I love about tinted lip balms. Tinted lip balms give me the chance to wear fun colors without looking overdone. Bright lip colors are just not my thing, I don’t think they look good on me at all and therefore I don’t feel comfortable wearing them.
The thing I love about this is that it in fact does moisturise your lips. It’s not like a real lipbalm and it’s not as hydrating as the Maybelline Baby Lips, but it does do a great job. I love the fact that I can take care of my lips while wearing an amazing lip color.
As you can tell the lipstick balm is pretty sheer. Some of you might be disappointed to see that, but I actually really love it. On the swatch it still looks pretty orangy, but in combination with my natural lip color it does actually look like a coral lip color. I have to say that my natural lip color is not pigmented at all, if I don’t use anything on them you might as well think I’m barely alive, so if you don’t have pigmented lips as well don’t worry. This product will look good on you too.
The thing that makes this product perfect is that it somehow makes me appear very healthy. I think it’s the color that really compliments my skin tone and makes me look like I’m super healthy and ready for anything that will come my way. I absolutely love that!
If you would ask me “is this lipstick balm worth your money” I would for sure say yes. Even though I’m saving up my money, I’m glad I bought this. It’s worth every penny. I love the way it looks on my lips and the way it makes my entire complexion look. I love love love this!
The Maxfactor Colour Intensifying Lipstick Balm is available at drugstores for €10,99.
I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know which lip color you love the most!
