In yesterdays haul I showed you guys I bought a gorgeous new blush by Marc Jacobs. Marc Jacobs is one of those brands I’ve adored for ages but I never really giving it a try. When I saw this blush all of that changed. I bought it and I immediately started using it and trying it out. Today it’s time for the review. If you’re interested in finding out more about this product, make sure you continue reading!
The Marc Jacobs Shameless Blush comes in this extremely luxurious looking black packaging. The packaging is made out of plastic and has silver detailing. It feels slightly heavy for a blush which really adds something to the luxurious feel of the product. On the front it has a small silver round button which you have to press in order to open up the packaging.
When you open it up you’ll find a little plastic black protector thingy which has the name Marc Jacobs written on it in silver letters. The protector will protect your blush from getting damaged. Inside the lid of the packaging you’ll also find a small mirror. This protector will also help prevent getting powder on that mirror, so it’s actually a pretty useful device.
The colour I chose to buy is called Irresistible. Irresistible is a very unique burned orange colour. I decided to buy this one because it’s different from most blushes. It’s a unique colour you won’t find everywhere. And when I buy a luxury blush, or luxury makeup in general, one of the things that is most important to me is that it’s a unique product. It’s one of a kind and you won’t find a similar thing at the drugstore. For me this really is something like that.
At first colours like this tend to be shocking. Back in the day when I saw a colour like this I wouldn’t be able to think of a way someone could make that work. But now that I’ve given more extreme or different colours like this one a try I know that as a matter of fact they can be incredibly stunning.
When you buy a Marc Jacobs blush you definitely expect something. I had quite high hopes for this. I feel like such luxurious brands lik Marc Jacobs either create extremely amazing products of terrible products in a pretty coat. This, luckily, turned out to be one of the extremely amazing products.
As you might be able to tell from the pictures the powder looks really silky and smooth. Even though it isn’t a very shimmery or shiny blush it does have some sort of silk sheen to it. That silkiness makes this a really nice and smooth powder. It’s super silky and soft and goes on the skin exactly like that. Smooth, silky and without any blotchiness. I love it.
The colour pay off is incredible as well. This swatch is made from one simple and soft swipe over the powder. You don’t have to press hard in order to get some of the colour on your brush or finger which is always a good sign. The powder is very intense and rich and feels really nice on the skin.
As expected the staying power of this product isn’t disappointing either. This blush stays in place all day. It obviously fades a little if you are someone who touches their cheeks more often, but in general it does a great job at staying in place all day. It’s definitely a blush I would use if I knew I’m having a long day ahead of me.
Overall I’m pretty glad I bought this blush. The packaging is absolutely stunning, it looks and feels really luxurious. The powder has a really nice texture and the product goes on like a dream. To top that all of it also has tons of pigment and it stays in place all day. In my opinion this is one of the best blushes out there. It’s definitely the best one I own and one I’d love to have in multiple shades. I highly recommend giving it a try!
