Back in October when I went on a shopping trip to Germany I picked up a new concealer: the Manhattan Wake up Concealer. I really like trying out new concealers so I was very excited to give this one a try. After putting it through the test it’s time for the review. If you’re interested in reading more about it, keep on reading!
The Manhattan Wake Up concealer comes in a very basic tube. For the main part it’s clear and there are some black details on it. The wand is also very basic. It’s like a lipgloss wand, but slightly bigger. I like the simplicity. It’s just a concealer so packaging doesn’t really bother me that much.
The concealer comes in three different shades. The one I have is called 1 Naturelle, which is super, super light, light enough to act as a highlighting concealer on my super, super pale skin. I really like that about it. I also like that the darkest shade is pretty dark. It’s not extremely dark, but it’s getting there.
The concealer itself is pretty thin. It’s very lightweight and pretty watery. Because of that I expected it to have medium to light coverage, and I still think that. It’s definitely not enough to cover up my dark circles, but I do like using it to lighten up the under eye area and other areas of my skin and I really like it for that.
Because of the thin consistency the concealer is very easy to blend, which is a positive thing. It doesn’t look cakey, it doesn’t crease and it looks very natural. This is definitely a concealer you could use if you don’t want to put on foundation, but you do want to cover up some imperfections because it doesn’t have too much coverage which causes it to look way more natural.
The staying power is not impressive, but not bad either. It’s just decent. Since it is a budget proof concealer I don’t expect it to be super long wearing. If you’re looking for a long wearing concealer I think you should consider buying a more high end concealer.
Overall I think the Manhattan Wake Up Concealer is a great one in its price range. It’s not the best concealer I have ever tried, I still prefer the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, but if you can’t get your hands on that, this is a great option. I also really like using it to make my skin look more refreshed and awake since it really does a good job at that.
The Manhattan Wake Up Concealer is available at DM and Rossmann for €2,95.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know which concealer is your favourite!

Leuke lay out heb je! Lekker vrolijk. Liefs
