Think Pink is one of the few bath bombs I bought back at the re-opening of the Lush store in Den Bosch. I was completely head over heels with the pink look of it, the design and the lustre all over the bomb. I knew this was going to be a pretty one and I just had to have it. But somehow I forgot about it for a very long time and it was left unnoticed in my entire Lush stash. Until a couple of days ago when I finally decided to pop this beauty into the tub and see what it has to offer. I mean, if something looks this pretty from the outside, it has to be pretty on the inside as well don’t you think?
The Lush Think Pink Bath Bomb is a really big, bright pink bath bomb with lots of silver lustre all over it. To me it felt like this bath bomb is bigger than most bath bombs from Lush and that did excite me. Obviously size doesn’t matter and all that kind of fun stuff, but that doesn’t mean that it ain’t fun if your bath bomb is really big. The design in the bath bomb looks like silk to me, like a super silky bed sheet or something like that. Even though the bath bomb has just one colour, I feel like it does look really special just because of that pattern.
I read online that this bath bomb has actually been around for ages, but is revamped recently. Back in the day it didn’t used to be this big and glittery. It actually looked like a round version of the amazing Creamy Candy Bubble Bar.
Even though I like the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar and its look, I do think that this renewed look is way prettier and more exciting. It looks a lot more interesting and I’m so curious to see what this will do to my bath. I’m expecting lots of pink and a ton of glitter!
Before we jump into the action photo’s, let’s first briefly discuss the scent and all things like that. The scent of the Think Pink bath bomb isn’t really that interesting to me. I mean, I don’t hate it, but it’s just not that outstanding. After a couple of days I didn’t really remember what it smelled like. And when somethings smells really good, that doesn’t happen. It’s not as sweet as you might expect and that’s mainly because of the vanilla notes in this scent.
Looking at the ingredient list I found out that the scent notes in this bath bomb are tonka absolute, vanilla absolute and neroli oil. All three scents that I like. The tonka is supposed to add a sweet touch to the scent, while vanilla has a warm and soothing scent and neroli oil is supposed to be uplifting. I do think that the combination of these three ingredients work really well together. Yet it’s not a scent that really stuck with me somehow.
Even though I’m not that blown away by the scent of this bath bomb, I have something good to say about it. And that is the fact that I like that a pink bath bomb smells a little different for once. Most pink bath bombs have a very sweet scent -which I love- but if you don’t love that it’s really nice that you can now enjoy a pink bath without having to dislike the scent.
And with that being said it’s finally time for the action photo’s. As you can tell the Think Pink bath bomb immediately starts to burst out pink once it comes into contact with the water. Underneath the top pink layer is a silvery layer, which is full of silver lustre. The bath bomb fizzes up in a medium speed. Not too quick, but it’s also not a slow fizzer in my book. But the whole process is just wonderful to look at.
After a couple of minutes my bath has turned bright, bright pink and there are milky layers all over the tub. The water is filled with silver lustre and all in all it just looks absolutely magical to me. I do love pink, I’m that kind of a girl, but even if pink isn’t your favourite colour I’m sure you’re going to love the looks of this tub in real life. It’s just so darn pretty!
After sitting in the tub for a couple of minutes the milky layers go away, like they usually do, and you’re left with a tub full of pink and silver glitter. I feel like no one really talks about that part. I mean, the bath art part is fun and all. But if we’re going to be real here, these milky parts go away pretty quick after diving in your bath. If what you’re left with then is still pretty, you know that it’s a winner!
All in all I fell in love with the Lush Think Pink Bath Bomb. I think this revamped version looks absolutely stunning and I think it creates the most wonderful and magical bath you can imagine. I love the enormous amounts of glitter it creates and I love the pink colour as well. The scent isn’t the most outstanding thing in the world to me, but even that doesn’t make this bath bomb any less amazing. I love it!
With that being said I’m going to end today’s post. Thank you guys so much for reading it and be sure to let me know what you think of this beautiful pink wonder!
