You guys remember my love for Lush Luxury Bath Oils? And remember how my mom hates them because they stain the bath tub terribly? Yup, that’s why I haven’t used them in quite a while. But you know what, I’ve had a whole box of them laying around my room and I didn’t feel like putting them away anymore. So that’s when I finally decided to try out the Lush Magnificent Luxury Bath Oil. Take that! And if you’re interested in finding out what this is like, make sure you continue reading this post. And trust me, you want to do that!
The Lush Magnificent Luxury Bath Oil looks like a piece of candy to me. It’s mainly orange and has three yellow swirls on top of it. It’s really cute, but not that pretty. I mean, bright orange isn’t the first thing I think of when I think about pretty things. Bright orange is the first thing I think of when I think of King’s Day though. But I don’t think of that very often. And that doesn’t matter for now. You guys are getting to know so much useless stuff about me, how fun!
Anyway, the Luxury Bath Oils from Lush aren’t incredibly large. But still, they’re big enough to leave terrible stains on your white tub. And that’s why I like to use it in parts. You can easily go for a half of the bath oil and have a very proper and hydrating bath. Just without the staining.
All in all I do think that the Magnificent Bath Oil from Lush is quite a pretty product and I do think that you get a very decent size considering how much you pay for it. Bath oils are really a great bang for your buck when it comes to Lush. You get so much product for such a small amount of money!
The Lush Magnificent Luxury Bath Oil has a very refreshing, yet calming scent. It’s orange coloured, which did make me expect it to be fresh. But it’s not all fruity. The scent is a combination of the uplifting scents of grapefruit and tangerine, combined with shea butter, jojoba oil and litsea cubeba oil. Okay, now the two fruity scents might be the most overpowering in this whole concoction, but that doesn’t mean you won’t smell anything of the shea butter for example. I feel like the shea butter takes off the sharp edge of the fruitiness and makes it relaxing. But that is totally my opinion. Maybe you don’t even notice that aspect of the scent. I’m just mentioning it.
Anyway, the thing with these luxury bath oils is that they do add colour to the bath, they smell amazing and in addition to that they also are super, super moisturising. Like you’re bathing in a body conditioner. Exactly that. Who doesn’t love the idea of that?!
I think that this bath oil is a great alternative to a bath bomb or bubble bar. If you’re not that into hunormous amount of bubbles or if you don’t like the fact that most bath bombs aren’t incredible moisturising, a luxury bath oil is just what you’re looking for. It’s not as spectacular or out there as the bubble bars and bath bombs, but that doesn’t mean they’re less exciting. They are in fact one of my favourite things from Lush!
But enough about that. Let’s look at this orange wonder in my tub! Like I said, I didn’t use the entire thing at once. I just couldn’t do that to my mom. These bright coloured bricks of oil do stain your tub and they aren’t that easy to clean. And if you don’t clean it immediately, they will cling on to the tub forever and ever. Or until your mom gets in with some strong cleaning supplies. But that’s a whole other story.
Okay, so half of the bath oil gave me a really nice experience. At first the bath oil slowly starts to melt. This will go quicker if you use nice and hot water in your tub. But since I’m not trying to fry my skin off my skeleton, I like to take it easy and just wait a little longer for it to melt. Depending on how much product you use, the bath water will get a nice tint of orange. After a while my water did get a pretty tint, but I’m sure it will be even more bright if you use the whole oil at once.
Once in the tub I couldn’t help but notice how amazingly soft my skin felt. It was truly amazing. My leg literally felt like I’d just shaved it and used a ton of body lotion on it right after. And guess what: I didn’t. It was all the magical work of this luxury bath oil from Lush. If you pad your skin dry after getting out of the bath, there’s literally no reason to even use body lotion on your body!
All in all I’m definitely a fan of the Lush Magnificent Luxury Bath Oil. I got a little out of touch with the bath oils, but I’m glad to be back. I really am. I love them to pieces. They are not too extreme or out there, but they get their job done. Magnificent has a really nice and uplifting scent and it left my skin feeling sooooo frikkin’ smooth. You won’t believe it. So just give it a try. It’s very affordable for the amount of product your getting!
And with that being said, I’m ending today’s post. Thank you so much for reading it and be sure to let me know what your opinion is on the Lush bath oils!
