If you would have asked me about two years ago if I’d ever buy a bottle of toothy or mouthwash tabs from Lush I would’ve answered with “hell no, that’s gross”. I never had a really good image of those in my head. Until I saw the exciting tastes of toothy tabs and mouthwash tabs they had in the new Liverpool store. It made me pretty excited to give some of them a try. So when Evelien went to Lush Liverpool, she picked up the Golden Pear Mouthwash Tabs for me and I’ve been trying them for the past couple of weeks. In today’s post I’m going to review them for you guys and let you guys know if it’s any good. If you’re interested in finding out what my experience with them is like, make sure you continue reading this post!
The Lush Mouthwash Tabs come in these really adorable little bottles. I do actually remember them being packaged in a box back in the day, but this does look much prettier. Through the plastic you can see the bright yellow coloured tabs and it looks all kinds of stunning. The packaging has a black label on it telling us what this is and aside from that there’s no decoration on the bottle.
The bottle is really easy to use. You just take off the lid and you can pop one mouthwash tab out. The tabs are reasonably small in size and therefore this bottle holds quite a lot of them. It’s much more compact than an actual bottle of liquid mouthwash. I feel like that this is something that makes these mouthwash tabs great for travelling! They don’t take in any space and they don’t count as liquids if you’re travelling by plane.
Inside this bottle you’ll find 45 grams worth of mouthwash tabs. I don’t really know how many tabs that gives you and I’m terrible at estimating. But if I had to say a number, I’d say you’ll get about 50 to 60 tabs. But then again, I’m honestly really bad at estimating, so don’t take my word on this one.
Lush Golden Pear Mouthwash Tabs (Liverpool exclusive) – £6,95
The mouthwash tabs from Lush are available in a ton of different tastes. There are about four different flavours available in their regular collection but in Liverpool there are many more. And that really excites me. I ended up going for the Golden Pear flavour. Lush also has a bath bomb, a soap and a shower jelly with a similar scent and it always looked very appealing to me. But if I have to be really honest with you guys, I’ve never actually eaten a pear so I have no clue what it would taste like.
After tasting the tabs I can now tell you the flavour is really, really nice. They are fruity, kind of sweet and very tasty. I feel like it’s a taste most people can enjoy. It’s not at all like what a normal mouthwash would taste or smell like, but that’s exactly what makes it fun to me. It’s something really unique.
The thing I did not expect is that these mouthwash tabs actually do give you that really refreshing taste. I don’t know why I didn’t expect it, but they are very refreshing. If you need a quick cleanse in your mouth-hole, or if you’ve just eaten something stinky. These mouthwash tabs are here to save you!
As you can tell (probably) the Golden Pear Mouthwash Tabs have a pretty yellow colour with some sort of lustre on it. This is kind of funky in your mouth. When you spit out the mouthwash, your sink will be covered in bright yellow coloured water and it looks fun. I did think it was a little weird at first, but well, normal mouthwash can have colours as well. And it’s not like it stains your teeth or anything like that!
I think I forgot to mention, but these mouthwash tabs are incredibly easy to use. You just pop one into your mouth, add water and you’re good to go. If you please you can nibble a little on the tab, I do do that so the process is a bit quicker. But it will dissolve slowly by itself too. Then I just rinse my mouth with the mouthwash tab until I feel completely clean and spit everything out. You’ll be left with a gorgeous tasting and smelling mouth and breath.
All in all I’m a huge fan of my new Lush Golden Pear Mouthwash Tabs. I think that they are super easy to use, they are very convenient because of the small packaging. They are easy for travelling but also just save you lots of plastic since the packaging isn’t that big. And in addition to that I think these golden pear tabs taste really darn good. I love them!
With that being said I think it’s time to end today’s post. Thank you so much for reading it and be sure to let me know what you think of the mouthwash tabs from Lush!
