Karma is by far one of my favourite scent-families from Lush. I discovered it a long time ago when I was gifted a bar of Karma soap. It’s not a type of scent I’d normally go for, but somehow I completely fell in love with it from the second I smelled it. And that’s when I discovered Lush made a bubble bar with that exact smell. I don’t think it will surprise any of you, but I bought it right when I saw it existed. Not long after buying it I popped a bit of it in my tub and took a bath with it. Somehow it has taken me forever to write a review on it, but here I am, ready to let you guys know everything about it! So if you’re interested in finding out what it is like, make sure you continue reading this post!
The Lush Karma Bubble Bar is a purple pyramid-shaped piece of product with an orange layer in between and a golden tip. The size of it is pretty decent, I think you can definitely get at least two baths out of it. I know that there are a lot of people out there who think you should use a bubble bar all at once if it’s doesn’t say reusable in the name, but I agree to disagree. Is that how they say that?! Anyway, I definitely think half of a bubble bar is more than enough to get a proper bath out of it and that way your bubble bar will last you a little longer. Considering the price of Lush products these days, I don’t hate that idea.
In terms of looks I totally dig this Karma Bubble Bar from Lush. I think that the design of the bubble bar matches the whole idea of the scent and all really well. It’s just so pretty! The bright purple looks very promising to me. I love a purple coloured bath. And the golden tip is such a nice little extra finishing touch. I love a bit of glitter and I think this is a great way to add some to your product!
While I was looking up the pricing of this bubble bar I noticed that the Lush prices have gone up again. I bought this bubble bar back in January and paid only £4,95 for it. It’s £1 more expensive now! That’s a decent increase!
On the Lush website they tell us the following about their Karma Bubble Bar:
Get an instant lift with this bubble bar with our signature exotic orange and patchouli fragrance. Sweet orange oil is refreshing, tangy and uplifting, as is lemongrass oil. Lavandin is a close relative of lavender and has similarly relaxing properties. Pine oil adds a fresh, green note to the perfume and elemi oil, which is traditionally used in incense recipes, adds complexity and freshness.”
So, the Karma scent has a note of exotic orange and patchouli fragrance in it. It should be refreshing. tangy and uplifting. I do think it is, but I also think it’s very spicy in a way and also kind of magical. The description Lush gives us make it sound like this bubble bar smells very fresh and all, while I do personally think that it’s much more spicy and autumnal than they let us know. But well, what do I know?
Like I said I popped about half of this bubble bar into my tub. Or well, I crumbled it underneath the running tap. Never, ever be the person that just drops the bubble bar into the tub. That’s not how it works you guys! Anyway, it created a whole ton of bubbles and it also tinted the bath water purple. The scent was nice and strong and it was a totally amazing experience to say the least. I really loved bathing in this bubble bar!
All in all I do think that the Lush Karma Bubble Bar is an amazing product. It is rather pricy, but since you can use it twice it’s kind of okay. I think it smells absolutely incredible and the whole experience of bathing with this bubble bar was just amazing. I love how the scent, colour and bubbles all come together to make your bath feel and smell special. It’s so worth it!
With that being said I think it’s time to end today’s post. Thank you guys so much for reading it and be sure to let me know if you have ever smelled the Karma scent from Lush, and if so, what do you think of it?
