Hey guys, it’s Nicole and I’m back with another Lush bath bomb review! How exciting is that?! Well, I’m pretty darn excited about it. Especially because this isn’t just another Lush bath bomb review. It’s one of the Harajuku bath bombs! I have to admit that I haven’t tried as much from this collection as I’d have liked to. But this is another step in the right direction. Today I’m reviewing the amazingly adorable looking Lush Strawberries & Cream Bath Bomb. A fruity one. And If you’re interested in finding out how I ended up liking it. Make sure you continue reading this post!
Like I said, the Lush Strawberries & Cream Bath Bomb is part of the huge 54 bath bomb Harajuku collection that launched a while ago. I believe that this bath bomb isn’t completely new to the scene, but it’s available now so that is something that makes it new.
I have to admit that generally speaking, I’m not huge on fruity-scented bath bomb. I’m just not one to bathe in a pool of orange or a bath full of raspberries. But combined with a milky scent I do enjoy the occasional hint of fruit. Does that make any sense? I guess not, but that’s okay. I forgive you for it.
Anyway, the Lush Strawberries & Cream Bath Bomb is -obviously- shaped like a strawberry. A big one at that. And it has a layer of cream in between. This is part of what made me want to try this bath bomb. It reminds me of the amazing bubbleroons Lush makes. But instead of a bubble bar surrounding the cream, this is a bath bomb with a creamy layer in between. I was so excited to see what that was like, that I decided to purchase this bath bomb.
Like I mentioned, this bath bomb has a pretty decent size. Okay, it’s not the biggest one in the history of bath bombs, but it definitely has a nice size. Scent wise it’s really amazing as well. I’ve read that some people said it smells like American Cream, my favourite Lush scent, but I don’t really agree with that. Well, maybe a little tiny bit. But in essence I don’t think it smells like that. It’s not as sweet and more milky. It does have a slight strawberry scent, but not too strong. It’s very harmonised and really, really nice.
What could be better than bathing in a big bath full of strawberries and cream? Use whole, or twist in half to share with a loved one. Fruity strawberry powder freshens and tones, while the creamy filling in this sandwiched bath bomb melts, leaving behind deeply softening water. A touch of black pepper oil gives this bath bomb an edge and brings out its sweet berry scent.”
According to Lush you can even use this bath bomb like an actual bubbleroon: you can’t twist the parts off of each other and use one half at a time. This is already one of the more affordable bath bombs and this makes it even more affordable. I actually didn’t do that this time because I didn’t realise that was a possibility. But I’m glad I do know that now.
When you pop this bath bomb in your tub, it will slowly start to fizz. Just how I like em. Slowly but surely, your tub starts to get a reddish orange kind of colour, which some milky areas throughout. I really think that this bath bomb looks stunning in the tub. It might not be the most crazy explosion of colours, but I definitely think it’s a very flattering look that I’ve got going on here.
The scent is really nice and present in the room. It’s definitely stronger than some other bath bombs I have tried in the past and I definitely think that’s a positive think. I think it’s a very pleasant scent and therefore I definitely don’t hate it being nice and strong. Once you get out of the tub and let the water out, the room suddenly starts to smell like American Cream. I don’t know how that happened, but it did and I was happy about that. I do really love American Cream.
The special thing about this bath bomb is the fact that it has this hydrating layer in between the two bath bomb parts. It might not look like a lot, but it does make a huge difference. My legs felt so super soft after sitting in a tub filled with this for over half an hour. It was so comfortable and soft. It’s actually a really hydrating bath bomb.
All in all I’m really surprised by how much I love the Lush Harajuku Strawberries & Cream Bath Bomb. I mean, I did expect to like it otherwise I wouldn’t spend my money on it. But I didn’t think I’d end up loving it this much. I love the colour of it, the scent is amazing and I’m just crazy about the fact that it’s actually super hydrating and bubbleroon-like. This is my holy grail for now!
And that’s pretty much it for today. Thank you so much for reading today’s post and be sure to let me know what you think of this bath bomb. Oh, and have you tried any of the Harajuku bath bombs?
