This year is the first year I really got into the Lush Halloween collection. And you guys, I’m so excited about it. One of the first products from this collection that caught my eye is the Monsters’ Ball Bath Bomb. It’s pink, it has a little eye on it and it looks absolutely flippin’ adorable. So it wouldn’t surprise you if I told you I actually ordered it twice. Just a couple of days ago I used it for the very first time and today I’m going to tell you guys everything about my experience with it. If you’re interested in reading about my experience with Lush Monsters’ Ball Bath Bomb, make sure you continue reading this post!
The Lush Monsters’ Ball Bath Bomb is a pink and little bit of blue bath bomb. In terms of size it’s similar to the normal sized bath bombs, it’s pretty big. It’s not as round as normal bath bombs are, but that’s because it’s shaped like a little monster. How adorable!
Another thing I really like about the design of the Monsters’ Ball Bath Bomb is the combination of the blue and the pink and also the little eye it has in the middle of its face. I mean, that stuff looks hella cute, you can’t deny that. I like the look of this so much better than a regular bath bomb just because of those little details.
Price wise I think Monsters’ Ball is pretty okay. Well, only if you look at the UK price. I really don’t get why the difference in price is this significant if you compare the UK price with the NL price. Oh well, that’s why I always order from the UK webshop.
Lush Halloween 2019 Monsters’ Ball Bath Bomb – €7,25/£5,50
So let’s take a closer look at our little Monsters’ Ball. On the Lush website they tell us the following about it:
A specdracula event awaits. Keep your ghoul and get ready to boogie on down to the bathroom for an enchanting monster mash up of uplifting essential oils. Run your bath and thriller up before revelling in the frightful fizzes of mood beasting neroli as tendrils of soothing olibanum oil keep you grounded. Sit back in the skin-softening Himalayan salt and bathe in gory as energising lime oil keeps you dancing from dusk ’til dawn.”
I really do like the sound of that. Something that caught my interest is the part where Lush tells us that Monsters’ Ball has skin-softening effects. And I know they say that about lots of their bath bombs and it isn’t always the complete truth. But let me tell you, in this case they definitely weren’t lying. Once the bath bomb dissolved into the water, the water felt super soft and silky. My skin felt smooth and moisturised and over all I was very comfortable in the water. Especially for a bath bomb that doesn’t have those bath oil moments in it like the Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb I think this is very impressive. It’s actually a lot more moisturising than your everyday bath bomb!
With that being said I think it’s time to hop into the pictures, the live-action pictures. Oh well. Monsters’ Ball is a very slow fizzer. It actually took about 10 minutes or so for it to completely dissolve into the water. I have to admit that I didn’t have the patience to wait throughout the entire process in order to take pictures of every step of the way. So after taking a couple of shots I went in and I ended up being even more surprised by it than I already was. Because guess what, after like 5 or 6 minutes of pure pink coming out of the bath bomb, blue started coming out (way more than before) and the bath water turned purple. A really pretty shade of purple at that. I was so extremely surprised by the look of that, that I ended up taking a picture of the water after sitting in it for 30 minutes. A little gross maybe, but well, everything for the blog?
Anyway, not only the colour of this bath bomb surprised me. The scent did as well. I obviously knew that Monsters’ Ball was going to smell nice, every Lush bath bomb does. But I didn’t expect it to be this good. If I had to describe it in my own words I’d say it was a very soft, floral smell with a creamy touch to it. Not soft in a way that the scent isn’t present. But soft in a way it wasn’t a very sharp scent. Nothing that could cause a headache. It was a very, very pleasant experience. I’m more than impressed.
All in all I’m just a huge fan of the Lush Monsters’ Ball Bath Bomb from their Halloween collection. I don’t get why I didn’t discover it last year already but there’s nothing we can do about that anymore. All we can do is buy a ton more of them so I don’t have to miss it throughout the rest of the year.
With that being said I’m going to end today’s post. Thank you guys so much for reading it and be sure to let me know what you think of this years’ Lush Halloween collection!
