It’s time for another Lush halloween review you guys! One of the products from the Lush Halloween collection of 2019 I was most excited about has to be the Bewitched Bubble Bar. I noticed it last year, but somehow I was a little late to the party thanks to which I couldn’t get my hands on it then. Luckily this year I was aware of the launch and got into it immediately. I actually ended up buying two Bewitched Bubble Bars because man, it looks adorable! I used it a couple of days ago and since I’m so excited about it I’m going to review it for you guys today. So, if you’re interested in finding out how I ended up liking the Lush Halloween 2019 Bewitched Bubble Bar, make sure you continue reading this post!
As you can tell the Lush Bewitched Bubble Bar from the Halloween Collection of 2019 looks absolutely adorable. It’s black and shaped like a cat with yellow eyes and a yellow little nose. I mean, even if you don’t like cats this has to be adorable to you. I can’t imagine anyone not loving the look of this.
Anyway, in size I think Bewitched is pretty decent. These ‘normal’ bubble bars are supposed to be used all at once. However, you can also chose to use just a bit of it. It might result in some less vibrant colours, but at least you get more baths out of your bubble bar. I decided to use the half of it. Size wise it’s not big enough to use it in even smaller portions. Or at least that’s my experience with it. You can decide to use a quarter of it but in that case the results will be very minimal. If you use half of it you still get full effects without having to use it all at once.
The Bewitched Bubble Bar I used for the photo’s actually looks pretty good. The eyes are straight and it doesn’t look a cat that’s in desperate need of help. The other one I got is pretty crooked. I think both are adorable in their own way.

On the Lush website they tell us the following about the adorable cat-shaped bubble bar:
After a busy day whizzing around on a broomstick, run a bath, crumble this lucky little cat under the water and ground yourself with olibanum. Let superstitions go and allow yourself to be spellbound by uplifting bergamot oil as you twitch your nose and breathe in this familiar blackberry scent. Whether in this life or one of the other eight, you’d be a fool to let this pass you by!”
The way they describe the scent is pretty interesting to me. Bergamot is a citrussy scent and blackberry which is fruity and, well, berry-like. This combination sounds very unique to me. Maybe it isn’t, but that’s what it sounds like for me. At first this didn’t sound like a scent for me, but surprisingly enough I ended up really loving the way this bubble bar smells. I do really smell the combination of both scent-notes in it. I think it smells very unique. It has something fresh, something sweet and something warm-berry-like. It’s impossible for me to describe. But I have to say that I really didn’t expect this bubble bar to smell this good.
Another thing I really like about the scent is that it’s rather strong. Recently I’ve experienced that lots of Lush products don’t smell that strong anymore and don’t leave this amazing scent in your bath room for hours after taking a bath. I won’t say that Bewitched is that strong that you can still smell it the next day, but it’s definitely stronger than most bubble bar scents. I like that about it!
Okay, let’s move on to the tub pictures. The action photo’s. Like I said I used only half of the bubble bar in my tub. I find it less wasteful and I don’t feel the pressure to stay in the bath forever that way. Even though I only used half of the bubble bar, I did get lots and lots of bubbles. Like a whole lot. The bubbles felt nice and stiff and they smelled very good as well.
Since this is a black bubble bar it might not be a surprise that the water turned black. I do think that if you use the whole entire thing that the black might be more intense, but still, my water was black and I liked that. I find black a very interesting colour when it comes to bath water. Especially when there’s also a bit of glitter mixed into it. And let me tell you, there’s definitely some glitter in here. I wouldn’t say it’s super glittery, but there’s definitely an occasional sparkle in here. That makes it even more interesting to look at.
One thing I was kind of scared of what that this bubble bar would stain my bath black. I was already dreading the cleaning I had to do after getting out of the tub. But surprisingly enough there was no staining at all. Not even a little bit. Also the glitter didn’t stick to my tub. I do think that’s a big, big plus!
All in all this adorable Bewitched Bubble Bar from the Lush Halloween collection surprised me a whole lot. I bought it because I thought it looked cute, but in the end it’s much more than that. The scent is really unique and really nice and the way it looks in the tub is amazing as well. I also love that it didn’t stain my tub. This made it a real relax moment. I already bought two of these, but I’m pretty sure I’ll buy more this upcoming month because I really don’t want to miss it.
With that being said I think it’s time to end today’s post. Thank you guys so much for reading it and be sure to let me know which product from the Lush Halloween collection is your favourite!
